What's exactly the point of 0-repping someone other than to send a quick message?

It's a useful option for sending a quick message (especially one related to a specific post)... Especially for people who have disabled PMs & even VMs (they exist).

It's also "useful" in that it acts as a surrogate for a negrep which can be given by Users instead of just Mods (though I really don't like to see it used this way).

I find it quite funny that someone would actually willingly give a box full of emptiness, either for fun/troll or something else.

Actually, @deepstrasz does it all the time but with 1 point for stupid reasons if you ask me.

Since when can we disable epenis? Last I knew, it came crashing down when we ported to XenForo....what are you even talking about kyrbio?

Even those that had it (me included) have it visible these days not that it matters much really...

I would never imagine this would be considered rude. I like to seldom give/receive them for short messages not worthy of a post or a visitor message. Like once I mistyped a link in a post of mine, I was glad I quickly received a message telling me that.

It is sometimes used to deliver derogatory messages or negative comments, I know. Then the problem is at the user's speech, not the rep box, imo. That's because this speech would still be problematic regardless if sent from a reputation box, VM, private conversation, or forum post.

I have no problem with it but I wouldn't mind if it's asked to be removed either, in case it's becoming too problematic.

'think I mentioned it last year or so iirc, if it becomes a nuisance, as in reputation as a whole for one, why not ask @Ralle to add an option to disable it completely?
As in not being able to receive epenis if one has it disabled altogether. Bear with me on this <3

I'd rather receive PM or VM instead of rep saying that I'm bad or good from each member. 'rest is fine as it is.

Regards.

Just because I started this post doesn't mean I want to be showered with 0-rep. Thanks a lot guys. Reaaaally appreciate it.

Yea I already stated that in the topic title. I've seen quite a lot of members receiving 0-rep with a somewhat crucial info.

Well sometimes he gives out bonuses. I received a lot from him few days ago :3

But seriously, can't we all be generous and give just ONE rep instead of throwing gray eggs at people?

You sound like karrassu @Quinten. He told me a cool story of how he managed to hack the chat and how he changed user's usernames till he realized it was only on his client that the changes were being applied.
