What do you (yes, you, the person reading this) want in a map? In any type of map.

What he said.I want an adventure like map. (monkey island, full throtle, the dig, Syberia, Sam e Max etc...)
A map with good history, no combat, no leveling, just puzzles that you must use your brain to beat, not wiht your muscles. Sure some combat involving puzzles are nice, since don't are the focus of the map.
i started some like that once, but stoped to join other projects. So that could be nice.
- Coop gameplay (humans vs AI).
- Atleast one hero or hero like unit for players (no units which die easilly).
- Challenging difficulty (no stupid "fair" crap from the AI, propper hard ass cheating AI which requires real work to compete against to make up for their stupidity).
- Ballence (all choices for the players should be usable (even if only in certain conditions) and be choosen during the average use of the map).
- Random elements (nothing is more boring than the same gameplay over and over again resulting in rigged stratergies, randomness is the key here and is what makes gameplay fun (and better than most maps)).
- Fair and ballenced save system (avoiding saving in such a way as to drag replayability or smuther it).
- Multiple play modes (Eg like survival, objective based...).
- Non boring terrain which hurts my eyes (no random models and tiles stuck together).
- Lagless gameplay (no leaks and no graphic meltingly poorly optimized terrain).
- Huge complexity (not just boring old standard WC3 gameplay).
- Great choice (not just 3 heroes or 1 top end item to choose from).
