WE Will Not Open Saved Maps

After cleaning up my old computer and removing everything on it I stored a little bit of stuff I didn't want to re-install specifically one of those things was WarCraft 3.

Now the problem is WarCraft 3 works perfectly fine so does the WE but whenever I attempt to open up a saved WE file it automatically starts up just a plain new WE map file.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Have you tried opening the file directly and not opening world editor? and if you have done that have you tried opening it with world editor not the file? If neither of those works then theres compatability probablems with your old maps and your new editor, try downloading Jass NewGen Pack It should work, and it gives you better features to World Editor, its really helpful, and no you dont need to know Jass to use it

Are you double clicking on the file, or opening up World Editor then going to file, open and opening the map file?
