WC3 v1.22 update

January 29th, 2008 - Today, the eSports Team is meeting with Rob Pardo, (Senior Vice President of Game Design), and Chris Sigaty, (Lead Producer of StarCraft II), Dustin Browder (Lead Designer of StarCraft II),and David Kim (Balance Designer of StarCraft II) for the second round of discussions on the balance changes that will happen for Patch 1.22. Many of the balance changes mentioned by both professional eSports players and the community alike, such as 'nerfs' to Human Guard Tower repair rates are on the top of the balance list for these rounds of discussion.

When balance changes are more solidified, I will give you an update on what these may be, and a better approximate release time. Furthermore, there is the possibility of additional Battle.net features to be added in Patch 1.22 that would further add to the longevity of the game online.

Patch 1.21b, the 'no CD' patch for Warcraft III is being signed off as we speak, and is aiming at a release for next week.

Looking forward to the no-cd part. Also some of the new BNet features are probably a try out on what will be some of the stuff in the Sc2 BNet remake.

I don't really need the no cd patch. You could always use daemon tools and mount the mini iso.

YEA! SOmetimes, when my WC3 loads (its a new CD, but made by some other company), the autoplay comes up, but afterward sometimes it will think that the CD isn't there, sometimes it detects things. With this CD thing, it will make it easier. I hope they make SC2 to start with this. If you are lanning, it is useful for many laptops to do this if they don't got it. Just keep the CD key.

Mounting ISOs are more annoying then just clicking the image of wc3, lol, 1 week yay.

Mounting? On Daemons it's just mounted, no emulation needed, you can have no tray, and it still IS there. But that no-cd thing is a step in a good direction. Everything get's cracked, except for games/programs using that uber-annoying (both for those who paid and those who want to crack it) Starforce protection. Protection goes to the internet, CD-keys, activation keys, etc.
