Wc3 Sear Is it dead?

So whats going on with WC3 Sear, is it dead and is this gonna be the new place to be, i want to know!

i dunno either, but im guessing once they merge everything (maybe the database) they will either destroy/close down wc3sear or either redirect it to this place.

wc3sear.ch is not dead. It would've been if Ralle hadn't intervened to save it. But this way, it has been given a new chance. So this should be a means of happiness, and not a sad event.

In it's current incarnation, it may be considered dead; however, Ralle has basically transferred the entire data archive of the site over to the server Hive uses. Thus, the site still remains.

This site is not prepared to sustain the amount of spam and users that will follow... imo, a total merge will only bring more mess than good. I hope I'm wrong, but you can see the results already. >_>

Exactly, I just want Wc3sear to reopen so all of it's members can go back there, ezxcept now it will be powered by the Hive... seriously, all of the mess here is rediculous, 92 new posts overnight...

Well that's what we all kind of feared, but now that we have good forum leadership, those spammers will be shut down and hopefully we can try and manage the wc3sear population as well as our own.

well, create sticky thread that tells you what REP is... and when it goes to far down you get banned, and anyway you lose it by spamming and double/tripple posting.

Since I have been a member here(about a year), I only have seen improvement so far, the merge surely is a good way to solve wc3sear.ch current state, in my honoust oppinion.

Also, don't think that ralle is gonna abandon this site, he is doign tremendous efforts to keep this site up and running, and I think thats something we should all respect.

Although wc3sear.ch was a good place to store resources and such, I think this site could become even a better one, with ralle and the rest of the staff on his side, so hats up =)

Well, the important thing is to make a smoother transition. Right now someone visting search will simply find a forum they cannot post in and a resource section they cannot upload to. Unless somone bothers to read the news forums, it will only look like a dying site. I think some redirects would be important. I can no longer post in the news forums to make things clear. All in all if resource uploading is not fixed the site will inevitably suffer. But then again, I, as well as darky, are amazed the site survived this long without any major support. Props to 'search users. You guys are the greatest.

mwha yeah i dunno whats going on but shouldnt wc3sear files all go to the hiveworkshop ? ... then i dl my models and such from this site =)
( im still using wc3sear because u can still download )
