Yeh, 10 years ago. WC3 does not even use any DX9 defined features. This means crap shadows, crap lighting and slow rendering

I would not say that...It holds up better than almost any other game from its time. Blizzard has a knack for that.
You were only talking about graphics, and so was I... apologies if that wasn't clear.I would not say that...
Tons of console games have held equally as well as the base WC3 did. Infact the only reason WC3 is still played as much as it is due to all the custom material people have made for it. One could argue you are not playing true WC3, but something else.
Because some people prefer wc3?! I'd much rather play the wc3 campaign over SC2, even now. This again returns to the point... Why are you wanting a WC3 remake when there is SC2?

WC3 looks better than almost any other game from its time.

It's a bit early to talk about a Warcraft 3 remake. I mean, we don't even have a Warcraft 1 remake, yet. >_>
That's a fairly large assumption on multiple parts. First you assume all people that play wc3 have old computers (I doubt you have any idea at all, not that I pretend to either), and second that only people who still play wc3 would buy wc4.People, do you realise that quite a lot of people who play WC3 have outdated computers that won't run the modern level graphics
All that writing, and your point is.... ?! I can't seem to find it.Also, some people here want an editor which would be as functional as SC2 one, but as simple as WC3. Now that's something I doubt well ever see - when making or editor, you always have to sacriface or functionality, or simplicity, so or it will be less functional than Starcraft 2's (Which will mean more advanced modders will prefer SC2), or as complicated or eeven more complicated than SC2 one. And how do you imagine as functional and much simplier than SC2's? I mean, of course it could be more suer friendly with some interface changes and some tooltips/info added to editor that would help find out what does what - but that can be done with patches, you know. During SC2 beta they already immproved the eidtor.
I don't think an easier modeling tool to use than Gmax etc will be possible, as they were never a part of the editor... Also, making a program which will have the same power as 3ds for example while simplifying it would be really hard to do... Also that will allow you to do everything by yourself, which is a bad thing as it promotes introversion... You can't have it all... haha...

I think you would need to contact NASA or someone to develop computers to handle that first...-Allow 2-3x the amount of polys on models (I like making detailed models =P)
-Allow the maps to go beyond the 480x480 size in Jassnewgen
-Add more stuff to GUI
Can't we all just agree that if we sacrifice enough goats to the dark god cthulhu we might eventually (not) get an updated editor for Wc3?
Uh, we were talking about an easier to use model prog inside the editor... ^_^Yayoi said:Milkshape, Its easy to learn and use.
