Warcraft Strike is fast paced action arena shooter game powered by ShooterEngine

As for now map may contain grammar errors, missing tooltips, absurd spelling, childish FAQ and
everything else what ruins gaming experience. Polishing is in progress.

FEATURES

Environment dependent gameplay: grenades bounce off walls, slide-off slopes, bullets may hit ground and walls.
Interactive jump: you can shoot or throw grenades mid-air while decreasing your accuracy.
Tons of effects (blood splats, bullet holes, grenade splats) to fit horrific environment.
Revamped movement: speeds up by walking medium-long distances and slows down nearby destination.
Spectator mode: once you get yourself killed, or for any other reason you can spectate your allies. Right/Left arrow keys changes the spectating ally.​

You may choose a type of zombie you want to become out of 4 with different stats and abilities
What is different that killed people won't get back to life as zombies​

You must survive zombie siege as long as you possibly can​

Certain players on both sides become the VIP with bonus health and unlimited USP ammo, but cannot buy any other weapons than grenades

I have to say that the map is quite a hidden jewel. The presentation could do with some work, but ingame it plays very smoothly. I find that it is slightly hard to differentiate between terrain heights since the texture is quite consistent, but that's to be expected in the wc3 engine.

Can be improved:
- Why is there no crouch? D:
- Game modes ( looking forward to -zm! always sucked at assasination mode anyway ^^ )
- Terrain ( a few doodads around and about would be nice )
- Flashlight does nothing atm.
- The original wc3 soundtracks don't mix well with the feel of the game...get a custom soundtrack, ESPICALLY for zombie mode.

Thanks for the early feedback, frostloh.

The crouch idea wasn't ever on the line because we're already lacking the animation tags.
The zombie mode is around 80% done, I'm terribly sorry I couldn't include it within.
The current fy_abandonedmine terrain is awful (I don't have much terraining skills) and I think that open areas fits more this time.
What flashlight does is actually giving some additional light, I can't blame you for missing the use of it in complete daylight. Zombie Mode maps are played in complete dark (Midnight) so the flashlight gives a nice feeling out there (and ofcourse, may attract zombies since the swat himself blends within the environment and flashlight just destroys the camouflage).
Warcraft3 Soundtracks are just complete disaster, I play with music turned off, going to think something out on next update.

And -zm here is the ordinary Counter Strike zombie mode, one person becomes a zombie of choice (can't give details yet, sorry) and attempts to kill the others.

A hidden jewel indeed, but would have had more of an impact if it was slightly polished before being released.

However, since this is still being worked on, as a beta, it deserves my 5/5.

Well done!

Due to the friendly comments and feedback. We've decided to continue working on this. So many gameplay related changes await.

Details in few hours alike...

By the way... Did anyone play this on Multiplayer? How fast people get a catch on it?

One thing though, I can't really try this on multiplayer since I always lag very hard even though I got a fast connection.... damn..... Oh COME ON =.= They tried to join but noticed their ping is 400+ =.= stupid SEA Garena, more than half of the server has X pings. sigh.... I love this map...... Dis is AWSOME!!!!!!!1!11!!111

No worries! Survival mode (-sm) appears on the next update, which gives you the opportunity to stress test Warcraft Strike to it's full extent exploding large groups of zombies.
Zombie mode gets enabled then as well.

And therefor I still prefer playing this on low-latency networks, like LAN or Garena.

More details still to come (By the way, do we need a forum here? Confused...)

Greetings, followers!

In the past week, me and my teammate had a bit of project related discussion.
We have made a conclusion.

The Warcraft Strike strike is drastically changing it's layout and lore.
The reason why we came to this is that currently the project is using many Counter Strike ideas. Not sure yet if we leave current weapons and maps unchanged for players or clean them up and provide with new ones.

However the announcement has nothing changed. So you can still expect promised modes. Not quite sure how long the development will linger, but it is progressing.

Lore changes:
- There will be no Soviet related descriptions. The action is moving into a spaceship.

Layout changes:
- SWAT Model (including animations)
- The game will have bonus physics: destroyable environment awaits!
- All the weaponry (excluding grenades)
- Movement system recoded into a Sprint system
- Movement system specifics: gains speed for moving and results in running, starts by walking
- Sprint system specifics: gains speed for moving for at least 2 seconds and results in sprinting, starts by running​

A bit of something that shouldn't leave you completely uninformed:

New SWAT Model screenshot added.
New Weapon (Modern Pistol) screenshot added.
Resource Screenshots updated.

A bit of time passed by, since the first upload. And here I am to provide with information. First of all, the project is NOT dead yet. It's progressing slowly, but steadily. We just can't simply keep the project growing in silence for too long. However, I do apologize that we won't provide you with version 1.6 yet (which include zombie mode and survival mode), instead we'll provide you with pre1.6 version which will have the new layout, weapons, maps, models and environment in general, but in the good old frag yard clothing.

If you would like to see version 1.6 and not pre1.6 just to keep it as a surprise - leave a comment, rearrangements might happen on that topic.



awesome awesome, i just have to change my customkeys because i have some conflicts with the Q hotkey, thats boring :x

I would like to see your keyboard layout on a picture, please. And I'll see what I can do about it.

very interesting, i was already thinking of "modding" your "mod" (in theory) for this kind of game :p

I guess i have fixed the problem, i just disabled the Q on my customkeys.txt, i never use it anyways, only when some custom map requires it

To keep everyone up to date. I announce that this project is currently on ice, due to lack of motivation and real life issues. Hope we don't upset you too much and we sure promise to at least provide you with the open-source version of ShooterEngine if we ever decide to quit developing this.
