kingbdogz. holy shit. This is impressive. I'm really hyped up for this now, waiting with high anticipation. Is there going to be an "open BETA" or some sort of a contest\chance to win "Pre-BETA tickets" or something? I really hope so.

Thanks ^_^ Closed Beta is starting either March or mid-year, but after about three weeks it will open up. Funny you mention that, I'm currently planning a contest and the three top places gain access to the closed beta. :D

Okay. Forgive me if I'm rude but if this get finished, will it be a free mod (Like TToR) or a retail game (Off-Topic but Alagremm, I'm asking the same question for FoD in this post)?

Nah. He's no copycat. Frankly speaking, when I posted my question, I'm thinking that FoD would be a free mod, since the portofolio is similiar to TToR (Which is free), but with campaigns and better models. EoE, however, has a major overhaul to the entire game. Which is the reason why I'm asking in first place.

Hm... leader of the Mithril Brotherhood does have a point.

However they just cant make EoE a pay-to-play mod, because all the rights for Warcraft belong to Blizzard and if their products are used or changed for commerce they can demand to destroy or even sew EoE.

It'll probably be used as a first major 'product' released under the Eternal Designs name which will hopefully bring a little bit of recognition when King and I start working on the next game.

you sould make your own ground textures to, I just saw it on one of your vidios that you did use the normal :p

but I think you have on other maps :p

That picture you saw was not in-game footage. The graphics are far superior to that, as that picture contained screenshots of Warcraft III with an experimental in-game UI. Nearly every texture and model from Warcraft III is being replaced in this project.

Hey, i just wanted to tell you that you should follow the story that Blizzard intended, by that i mean try blending the WoW lore with Warcraft 3, it's pretty easy to do that and if you get them right you can make them very exciting.

I had a project going about a year ago and i tried to make a huge campaign that included Warcraft 1,2,3 and World of Warcraft lore and what i got was absolutely fantastic :) (i don't mean quality wise, i mean the experiences that you can make. :) )

Hope this helps you a bit :).

We won't be following the story from World of Warcraft. One of the many reasons is that Blizzard made the story based around the game mechanics, which really ruined it for me and a lot of other Warcraft fans. I will, although, use some small lore pieces from WoW, like the Scarlet Crusade and the Worgens.

Actually as I said draenei and Naaru are good... but Blizzard made a mistake that ruined the draenei. Instead of just leaving them a strange race with weird light allies, who once had a giant crystal dimensional ship, which completely fits Warcraft, they gave them a high-tech looking ship that has radiation and makes one part of the Azuremyst islands look like Earth after it was infested by tiberium!
Tempest Keep sucks! But admit it, without the f***ing ships they are a pretty good race.

No, I'm not Shady! Why doesn't anyone know who I am.... I'm the the modelling and animation director, and will as of currently be one of the partners of the incorporation if we decide to pursue that idea. I'm the one that is doing the cinematic sequences and since SOMEONE can't find anyone else that can do basic modelling I have to do the ingame models too.

Announcement: Surprise, surprise!

I know you have all been eagerly awaiting the beta and would love to get your hands on this modification as soon as possible, but as I have said multiple times that is impossible at the moment. This is because of the obvious reason: it isn't ready yet. But I'm also a perfectionist, and until it is near my image of a perfect beta I'm unable to release it to the public or even to the closed beta testing team. The beta has been delayed many times before, two times I believe, and a lot of people have been annoyed with this. For this I am sorry. Recently I announced that there will only be the Convent of the Blackened and Undead races playable in the beta, which is understandable but also another thing to get annoyed about.

So since it's been pretty quiet around here lately and everyone has been so patient, I've put a hundred smackeroos into a...

New skin for our WarcraftEoE.com website. Now I know this will not ease the painful wait for the beta, but I hope you at least enjoy this until the beta arrives this month or next month. It will be released sometime tomorrow because there are a few bugs at the moment that we have to fix, and some visual things we have to improve on. Next week we will be releasing a homepage for the website as well. This is actually one of my "top-secret" steps to beta, I'm not sure if you've noticed the others ;)

Anyway, here is a preview:

Enjoy.

This is the very first released concept art from one of our concept artists, InsanityVonMike. This is a concept of the new Undead unit called the Plague Erupter.

Plague Eruptor

Information: The Plague Eruptor is the Scourge’s latest experiment. While it was once a simple zombie, it became twisted by Necromancers. It is now a large vat of plague.
Battle Information: Melee; the Plague Eruptor is slow, but can deal a lot of damage and plague enemies so they are slow like him.
Abilities:
Plague – Plague is a debuff that causes an enemy to lose 50% move speed and attack speed.
Infest - Cannot be used on heroes. When the targeted unit dies, it explodes and three small "Infested Drones" pop out. When the Infested Drones attack an enemy unit the attacked unit gains an Infested debuff in which the unit, when killed, resurrects it as another Infested drone.
Combustion – Passive ability. Upgraded. If the Plague Erupter is killed, it will spray acid in random directions before exploding into pieces. All enemies that come in contact with the acid receive the Plague debuff and Zombie debuff. Does not effect Heroes.
Tier and Location:T3; Slaughterhouse
Requires Advent of the Plague

I don't really have much to say about this utterly ugly creature... he's very instinctive and slaughtering on command.

Here's a small model preview, it's far from completed but still looks nice none the less:

The seams will be fixed.

Enjoy this small update, more screenshots and images will be rolling in soon :)

So how many CGIs are you going to make?

A few, depends on if the campaigns need one or not.

Also the concepts look kinda bad, the WoW plague erupter looks better.

We aren't following WoW's art direction at all, and I certainly wouldn't call it bad.

Is that model an orc? Looks awesome anyway. Let me guess. By Varine?

No, it's a preview of the Plague Erupter but it is really work in progress so some proportions need to be fixed etc and more details need to be added (hoses, plague sacks, veins). Yes it is by Varine.
