OOC:
It seems that nothing is going on, but I'll join in in the case it gets rolling at some point.
CHARACTER:
Name: Adru
Title: Scalebane

Race: Black Dragonspawn
Height: Almost seven feet
Age: 45 years
Hair Color: None
Eye Color: Red
Build: A very heavy build, that of a warrior.

History: As most Dragonspawn are, Adru was the devoted servant of a Black Dragon during the pre-Cataclysm years. Her excellent fighting skills quickly propelled her through the ranks, and despite her lack of magical affinity she became a Scalebane at a fairly early age. During the Cataclysm, however, her master was slain in a suicidal attempt at attacking an army of Alliance soldiers ordered by Deathwing himself. Sent into a depression by this, she spent the rest of the Cataclysm brooding over the fate of her master. She came to the conclusion that Deathwing was going to prove to be the end of their race, and shortly before he was killed she gathered a small army of fellow Dragonspawn and fled to safety deep in the Blackrock Mountains. Her small band has made several attempts to ally with nearby Horde settlements with little success so far, but more recent attempts at diplomacy have started to yield results, and she hopes to be a full-fledged member of the Horde soon.

Personality: Like most Dragons, she is clever and impulsive, but does not posses the evil streak that most of the Black Dragonflight suffers.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral, leaning slightly towards Good
Faction: Horde
Class: Scalebane (Effectively a warrior)(http://www.wowwiki.com/Scalebane)

Adru
Current Location: Kargath (http://www.wowwiki.com/Kargath)

Adru and her small party had just come in sight of the Horde outpost of Kargath. The small outpost was located in the Badlands, a desert close to the Searing Gorge, the location of her own small settlement. She was on the latest of her many attempts at creating friendly relations with the Horde garrison there, although most attempts had been met with hostility. As of late, however, her group had not been met immediately with an attack, although the guards openly displayed their weapons and were ready for any foul play on the part of the Dragonspawn.
Several of those guards were standing just outside of Kargath right now, alert for any attack by the Dragonspawn. There were only six of Adru's people with her now, however, hardly enough for any kind of attack. Three of them were carrying large sacks, filled with the rare Dark Iron that served as one of the only reasons any Horde or Alliance members were interested in Blackrock Mountain or it's bordering territories. With Nefarion defeated, the Dark Horde dispersed and Ragnaros banished to the Elemental Plane once more, there was no other reason to be interested the region.
"Hail, warriors," she called out. She received an acknowledging grunt from one Orc, at least, which was better than anything she had received before.
"Go ahead," she called back to the warriors behind her, in Common so that the Orcs would know what was happening. The three Dragonspawn brought their burdens forward, one of them opening the bag and handing a good-sized chunk of ore over. The grunts picked up the offering, but otherwise made no other sign of friendship.
"I would like to speak with the leader of your outpost," she offered. She had asked nearly a dozen times, none of them accepted.
"Sure you do," one of the Orcs said, very predictably. Nodding in acknowledgment, Adru turned about.
"Well, that was better than the last effort," she said to her troops, reverting to Draconic, out of habit more than anything else.
"You said that the first time they didn't shoot arrows at us, too," grumbled one of her warriors, Kaz. Adru shot a glare at him; resentment at her efforts to ally with the Horde had grown amongst the ranks of her troops, and with a population of thirty such thinking was dangerous.
"You would question my tactics, as your superior? Would you rather have us raiding their supplies of food, or fighting them head-on? If we are to survive, we need allies, and the Horde offers our best hope of-"
She was interrupted by a harsh yell from back towards Kargath, which was followed by more. The clashing of arms almost immediately followed, with the many other sounds familiar to combat - magical explosions, yells of pain and others. Turning around and drawing her shield and weapon, a mighty longsword made of Dark Iron and enhanced with fiery enchantments. Her warriors did the same, and leading the group she ran to the battle.

OOC:
I'm trying to match up the lore as best I can. Point out any mistakes and I will gladly change them.

Adru
Current Location: Kargath (Badlands)

Running around the fence that blocked their view of the battle, Adru and her warriors nearly ran headlong into an Ogre. The brute had the tattoos of a shaman, and just then he threw a lightning bolt from his fingertips. A scream came moments later, indicating that someone had been hit. Letting out a battle roar, Adru stabbed into the Ogre’s knee, then used it’s magical properties.
It was always hard for Adru to explain using magic to someone who had never experienced it before. Despite not being very proficient with it, she had several minor spells at her disposal, and some of her enchanted equipment needed input from the user to activate. The best she could describe it was pushing with her mind, focusing on whatever you were casting and hoping for the best. The result of her mental command was that her blade exploded with fiery energy, blowing the Ogre’s lower leg off and setting him on fire. Adru, being a Black Dragonspawn, was immune to fire, and could therefore use this spell with no harm to herself. Any other mortal who attempted it would loose an arm.
The Ogre, bellowing in pain, toppled over onto the Kargath wall. The wall groaned for a moment, than gave way under the weight of the Ogre, collapsing into the village. As her troops moved to fight other Ogres, Adru climbed onto the still-living Ogre’s back and plunged her sword into the base of his neck. The Ogre gave a violent shudder, then died. Turning to the battle, Adru did a quick assessment of the situation.
It seemed that a group of Dustbelcher Ogres had attacked the outpost. About a dozen of them were fighting an equal number of Horde grunts, and the Ogres were winning. The Horde troops lacked any magical support, as well; their mage, one of the Forsaken, was crumpled in a corner and smoking. It seemed that the Horde line was faltering everywhere, and so Adru left her troops to their own devices and looked for the most powerful enemy in sight.
A target presented itself when one of the grunts defending the entrance was stuck by a bolt of lightning. The unlucky soldier exploded, and through the shower of blood another Ogre shaman emerged. Adru moved to intercept him as he tore through the remaining grunts at the entrance. More to distract him than with any hope to hurt him, Adru threw a small fireball at him. Luckily for the grunt the shaman was about to smash, the fireball struck the Ogre in one of his faces, doing quite a bit more damage than Adru was expecting. The enraged Ogre turned towards Adru and threw his own spell; a mighty fireball four times the size of the one Adru had summoned. She ignored it, knowing what the result would be, and instead simply charged the shaman head-on. The fireball swerved to intercept Adru anyway, something she had not been expecting, but she immediately changed her plans and instead turned to intercept one of the Ogre warriors. Her new target turned towards her, probably attracted by her golden armor more than her attack, but before he could do much more than stare at Adru the fireball detonated.
Adru’s natural fire resistance made the wall of destructive fire do little more than warm up her armor, but the Ogre right next to her was far less lucky. The blast tore through his vulnerable torso and destroyed his legs. What remained caught fire and writhed on the ground for a few moments before Adru finished him off.
A bellow of rage directly behind Adru drew her attention. Turning around, she saw the shaman, apparently even more angry at being exploited by Adru, and before she could defend herself the Ogre caught her in the chest with his giant club, flinging Adru through the air to crash into the wall of Kargath. Stunned and immobile for a moment, Adru was unable to move as the shaman walked up to her, with an ugly grin on one face and a charred mess that just might be smiling on the other.
“Your pretty armor will make a great toothpick,” he said as he raised his club for a finishing strike. Adru tried to get up and defend against the attack, but she couldn’t focus enough to cast a spell, and her legs weren’t responding to her commands. However, the need for any defense disappeared when an axe blade severed the shaman’s leg at the knee. The Ogre bellowed in pain, and off balance he fell over, barely avoiding Adru’s outstretched tail. The Horde grunt that delivered the blow tried to get close for a decapitating strike, but the Ogre was far from finished and swatted the grunt away with one hand. Grimacing in pain, the shaman propped himself up with one arm and started dragging himself over to Adru, ignoring his bleeding stump of a leg in favor of slaughter. Adru herself was just recovering herself, and climbing to her feet she turned to face the Ogre. No longer towering over a disabled opponent, the Ogre had a brief moment of doubt, which was quickly ended by Adru’s decapitating strike.
It seemed that the rest of the battle was going well. Most of the Ogres had now fallen, the unexpected reinforcement from Adru and her troops ending their advantage over their smaller opponents. The few survivors were fleeing, with the headstrong Kaz running after them.
Despite the victory of the Dustbelchers, the Horde troops had taken heavy casualties. Along with the Forsaken mage, half a dozen of the defenders had died, with two more suffering from serious internal bleeding and the other four suffering from dozens of smaller wounds. Adru’s own troops had fared much better; only one of them had suffered a serious wound, with his arm broken and hanging limp at his side. Adru didn’t know about Kaz, but seeing as he was still on the heels of the Ogres she assumed he was in a decent condition. Sighing heavily, Adru ran after him, ready to chew him out and demote him to manual labor when the group returned to the Searing Gorge.

Looks like this might turn into my own little story. I'll go bug Evillizard and Dead-Man-Walking and remind them about the RP.
