Hello.
With a friend we would like to play W3 via Hamachi
We are on windows 7.

The very first time, I ran Hamachi, + lancraft.exe, created a game and it worked but with a lot of ping.
Second time we created with his PC but no way to play.
I could see the game but had the message: "Unable to connect to the server. Try again or choose another game" when I clicked "join game".
From this time on it totally stoped working, no matter who creates the game. Always the same message.

Nothing helps:
-Port in game options set to 6112.
-Shutting down anti viruses and firewalls.
-Making Hamachi the first in the priority list.
-Disable other networks.
-Rebooting PC's.
-Running lancraft in compatibility mode for XP.
-Bypass my routeur.
-Internet via wifi or rj45 cable.
-Other internet connections (smartphones).
-Manual metric of hamachi network set to many different values.
-Tried to change some Hamachi settings.
-Manual IP adresses.
-Test with warcraft and frozen.
-Tried on the laptops.
-etc etc...

With diablo 2 it works fine.
But with W3 it "worked" only one time.

Quite anoying :-(

Anybody has an idea??
Thanks.

Anything I could suggest is inside this list already.

Try changing Hamachi then.

Hi.

First, thanks for your answers.

The things I did was setting metric of hamachi network to 1 on both computers and downloaded lancraft from another website.
Now it works. Both machines are able to host but with about 2 secs of ping.

So I guess the problem was because of the lancraft version I downloaded the first time.

For the ping, I suppose that it is due that one of the internet connections is per satellite.
We will try with 2 DSL connections.

I will try gameranger as well soon. Thanks for the tip :)

Hamachi is trash. Been there done that. If you want to make your life easier, just use Game Ranger.
