Valeera Sanguinar 2.0

Valeera Sanguinar employs her fel-tainted daggers with grim determination. A formidable foe on the battlefield and a cunning opponent in the political arena, Valeera is an elf unmatched by most. At a young age she became a gladiator, fighting alongside Broll Bearmantle and Lo'gosh in the Crimson Ring. After escaping from slavery she traveled with them to Menethil harbor and Thandol Span. She succumbed to the seductive fel energy, gradually consuming more and more until she was nearly overwhelmed. Healers in Ironforge were able to stem the corruption and the druidic ministrations of Broll brought her back from the brink. When Varian became king of Stormwind she remained a close friend and a bridge between the blood elves and the humans. Now she steps upon the sands once more to fight alongside valiant heroes, thwart dastardly schemes, and dispense quest objectives. Or perhaps she will succumb to the fel yet again...

This bundle includes three versions of Valeera. The first is my own interpretation of what she wore during her years in the Crimson Ring. I believe this version best represents a younger Valeera, before rejoining the blood elves/horde. The second skin is inspired by the Master skin from HotS for Valeera. I believe this is a good representation of her after rejoining the blood elves. I have named that model the Felblade and I think it would make a very good non-lore hero or creep. Both models could be used as buildable units for a custom race, too.

Included with all three models is an animation combining the spell throw from the Warden (blink) and attack 1 from the Demon Hunter. This creates a "blink-strike" effect that could be used for a custom ability. The animation is named spell throw 2.

In honor of nearly one year on the Hive Workshop, a new model has been added as a refresh to the earlier release. The Valeera 2.0 version is an attempt to faithfully replicate her current representation in WoW and HotS. It is based on the High Elf Archer model (which has distinct advantages over the previous model like facefx and no blood splatter bug), using most of the animations and attachments from the original Valeera. Her pauldrons were ported from WoW using the import/export tools that @twilac developed for Blender, as well as WoW-Tools, GIMP, Krita, and Retera Model Studio. The icon is from HotS, edited in GIMP and the borders generated through Warcraft Image Lab (check it out, it's very useful).

Mr Ogre man
Looks awesome, really great model.
Hello, this model is good.

I have one minor complaint, and it is not your fault as it is actually Blizzard's own fault here.

This model is based off of her Heroes of the Storm appearance and not her canon appearance.

In fact, even the old models also have this same problem since her first RTS model appearance was in a MOBA anyways and all models have been based off of that due to the best animations for these kinds of models come exclusively from the Demon Hunter and Warden.

Valeera Sanguinar has a cape, not this short, tattered rag on her back a full-length cape. Her WoW Model even has this cape.

Again, this is not your fault and there is no real solution to this minor detail problem, especially since there wasn't one for where this removal originally came from, HotS, as the cape just doesn't function for these games. The lack of it does however ruin the esthetic of Valeera Sanguinar herself as it is part of her personal style.

Regardless, you made a very impressive model for an iconic character and one I am very happy someone took the time to make in the Reforged Textures.

Keep up the good work.
