I have had this problem a dozen times, and I can never remember how to get around it...
I want a unit to patrol in a square-shaped pattern. Every time it enters an area, I order it to attack-move to the next corner. This works okay, except the first time when it almost gets to location 3 and then turns around to return to its original location.
It's pathing is not blocked.
It's not attacking anything.
When it returns to the original location it gets the order to attack-move back again and it works.
I've disabled player use...no luck. I've changed the unit so that it cannot "flee." I've told the AI to ignore its guard position.
How do you get a unit to stop returning to its location?
