Ok its a big improvemnet. Things to fix: The waterfall has spirits flying over it (edit fountain model) One of the apths goes into deepw ater. Beaches look nice but still nee dosme fining. Add maybe at elast a few little areas where the pplayer can wlak on shallow water, or rock poolz and make sure THERE IS NO GRASS IN WATER WHICH THEIR IS ATM.

And though you do not think it's good, remember that it should always be the mapmaker making those decisions. It's him the terrain is for, and he is the one that decides who it looks.
I've made all of those mistakes myself ;)

Though one should always keep in mind that others opinions actually matters the most, as they are the ones that are going to play it.

Grass in water is never a good idea btw :wink:

Lastly: Some of you really could use the Firefox wordbook plugin - Could make your posts a little easier to understand.

Yah, i know public opinion is important.
But saying "Edit that." Without being the map editor...
Pisses me off, sorry :(

I'l edit the grass next time i run it through, and i will make up the next region :)
Ideas for other Regions So Far:
-Desert.
-Jungle.
-Jungle Ruin.
-Northern-Style-Forest Ruin.
Also i were thinking about putting some more cities around, matching the zone thei're placed in.
Opinion? :)

You need World Edit Unlimited (WEU) with JNGP... to open map~ :)

Ehh dude, Don't use WEU. Its too old. Its not updated to work with the newest patches, its ineffective and there is a better editor.

Begin using JASS NewGen. Works better and allows 16 tiles.

Very good idea not to use WEU, it have no functions that are useful.. and the maps won't run at all if you use any of the advanced triggers.

Also, i tried doing it with Downloaded WEU, and it still gives me the bug :(
I can fix it since i think i know what it is, but it's gonna take alot of time.
And i would really have a easier time working with it if we weren't using WEU.

WEU (and especially the advanced functions) stuff your map full with unnecessary and partly buggy function garbage. Have fun. :grin:

'kay... i'm working on various ruins.
I've had my entire computer re-installed with Windows 7, so everything has been a mess of loading backup files and stuff.
There will possibly be even more delays tomorrow, but the terrain is looking good.
And if you wish, i can make some screenshots from the current terrain. (gonna add some to my album :D)

Okay... the terrain is coming along nicely.
I've given the first zone(s) a island-style, so that the crossing from one region to another is by bridge.
I am NOT using UTM trees right now, cause i seriously don't like them :(
But if really needed i can do a make-over with UTM trees later.
I'l post a screenie of the little starting village later.

Also, it seems that somebody succeeded in messing up all of my custom doodads.
They are set to things like
// Doodads: D000 (Grass5), Name (Name (dnam))
and their model files are set to
war3mapImported\grassAnimated5.mdl
refering to something that is defenetly NOT imported.
I haven't done anything with this, but if you want me to make things looke the way they looked before the doodads messed up, it's gonna take more time.
So far, the messed up doodads ruined the waterfall, the village and the mountains.

Edit:
Actually, after a closer look, it seems that all my custom stuff has been deleted in this version...

Shame, though it sounds like someone have been messing with the game files.. like when one attempts to protect/de-protect a map. But messing with WEU can also do it, if the object was imported using that program importer (the one not in the editor itself).

The thing is that nothing of my custom stuff was imported.
They were just doodads with edited sizes and model files.
So now everywhere i had placed custom doodads is filled up with green cubes -.-

That makes it even more impressive, as it seems someone have then managed to change/remove the ingame textures... Hope this will get solved for you.

Okay... sorry.
I've lost my patience.

Yesterday i finished the seven'th region.
The terrian i had made contained seven regions and three villages.
I had also fixed all my custom doodads.
Today, i wanted to shine it up a little, it refused to start:
"Level Date Missing".
Even on the backup i made, it's GONE!

OnTopic: I really like the hero classes! Seriously the only one of them I have seen before is Arcanist.
Can you post a screenshot of mount system? I would like to see if you remodeled the heroes with a mount or you attached a unit to a mount.

EDIT: The terrain needs work, do you use loderan summer or what oO?
First picture: no tile variation and too many flowers in those "groups" spread them around abit.
Second picture: It looks like a big water hole with alot of the same stones and trees around it with a statue in the middle. Looks a bit boring in my opinion.
Third picture: I like this, maybe make the three path a little smaller so you can make more trees.
Fourth picture: I don't understand it, it is just a water hole with a bit doodads around.
