So I've been thinking about a simple function which can improve everyones PvE experience in Gaia's Retaliation.

You see in some fights it get really crowded, and it gets hard to see which units healthbar it belongs to. Is it the tank's or the creep's healthbar that just dropped to 25%? There for I had an idea which can make things easier for healers and the rest of the group to see the status of their team mates.

You remember the party function in WoW or similiar games? A long time ago I played a map which had a party member icon function. It was a plain PvE map with only boss fights and super creeps in it so they needed a good system to make it easier for the players to heal and cc etc.

I suggest we take this concept in to consideration, surely I can't be the only guy who had problems healing my team in fights with large numbers of creeps. The only problem I can see is that there might not be enough room for the entire team on the left side of the screen because of the inventory icons. So I've come up with a solution to it, "Focus Target" is a function which allows the player to pick a unit and that units icon appears on your screen so you can see its health and mana status. The ideal function would allow the player to pick maybe 2-3 focus targets (example: You+Bag+Bag, Cleric, Ranger).

Sorry for the annoying censored part but I was to lazy to load a game to get a in-game picture :/

As you can see in the image, you can see the status of the Cleric and the Ranger, this way you will know if they are taking to much damage or if they are low on mana.

I think I am done now.

Type it in game and be amazed at how fast your idea was implemented.

Currently it fits 5 beneath the bags. Tbh, the bags should be removed from there altogether to make room.
Also, I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but a commands tab in F9 would be great. Even allowing people to type -commands to check shit out would help.

If I do that, we sacrifice A LOT of the intuitive UI design of Gaias, which made the game so easy and fast to play.
You'd lose the ability to put items in your bag without dropping them on the ground and basicly also disallow for F2/F3-selecting the bags.
I could possibly add one bag to the "inactive worker" icon on the lower left of the screen, but then you could still not drop items directly into your bag anymore, so I'd rather not do it.

I don't see any problem with the current interface. Dungeons are restricted to 5 players anyway. The Quickbar holds enough slots to display yourself, your bags and up to 4 additional players.
Only the sixth player is not displayed - then again, when do you ever 6-man any encounter in the game? The sixth player slot was meant just to allow swapping of afk players or game hosting by afk players.

Also, I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but a commands tab in F9 would be great. Even allowing people to type -commands to check shit out would help.
All the commands are listed in the quest menu as optional quests.

PS: I don't really see the point of this thread. The topic opener himself posted a screenshot of the activated party interface...

Im pretty sure he photoshopped it, you can see a row of black pixels on top of the cleric icon.

Anyway, you can run Shade with 6 players. But that is really the only situation where a 6. quickicon would be helpful. Imo its unnecessary.
