Hola y'all,

While the knowledge of its existence has been floating around the Hive Chat for a little while now, Pyritie suggested I should make a thread here so everyone can bask in the silliness that is our unofficial Quotes DB:

Submissions are open to everyone and most quotes are being accepted at the moment (even if they suck) to build up the database.

Oversight fixed the lazy-mans way until I'll make it a bit more user-friendly.

I agree, as it would make moderating and monitoring the db much easier. That, and it would require some form of rules to be put in place in concordance with the rest of the site. Right now the acceptance of quotes has a very low entry barrier and it somewhat dilutes the quality of the db.

However, it's not my call. Perhaps it is something Ralle and Hakeem are planning to include with the next version of the chat.

Hey guys,

Sorry about the site going down. I have quite a few domain names spread across a number of hosts. Unfortunately it appears that paying renewal for this one managed to slip under my radar. I've sorted it out, and the site should be visible again shortly if not already.

Also, since I'm not around here in any consistent manner, I'm going to tidy up the backend and I'll appoint some active people here as mods to keep the flow going. Let me know if you're interested (it probably goes without saying, but it's also a prerequisite that I actually know you and can trust you)

Finally, for those of you who have had problems with not ever being able to access the site, I'm considering moving it onto a different server in the future to see if that solves the dns resolution issues.
