Thor the Thundergod

Yes people, I'm back at Wc3 modding. At least for a while, I have some old projects I want to finish. I still not doing requests though.

Anyway, here's a model I've been wanting to make for ages, but never got around actually making it, Thor, the Thundergod.

Also, incase someone wonders why there aren't any wings or horns on his helmet, this is not the stupid version like the Marvel hero, this is a more accurate Thor how he should look, like any other viking, without shit on his helmet.

Made by Olof Moleman, based on the Paladin model.

Updated:
Made the belt and gauntlets more accurate, made the face and hair completely freehand, changed the colour of the bear skin and fixed some UV issues.

Meh. GF was reffering to the skin on the model, i guess.

But i agree, there is no great reason to have this as model, when you can use Paladin/Mountain king.

But who says it has to be used for that?

The ingame Paladin and Mountain king make crappy substitutes for Thor. The Paladin has medieval armour and a book, all in all not even close to viking like, and the mountain king is too short and has horns on his helmet.

I don't see why everyone is like, "Why not just use a paladin? Or a mountain king?". Why not have a custom model? The only reason I even see not using this is because you are running out of room in your map, or because you are making a map that has nothing to do with Thor. And I don't know much about filesize so... xD

It looks so plain. You should add more god like armor.
Thor also has white beard and eye patch(because of the Loki).

You're confusing Thor with Odin, Thor has red hair. Odin has one eye and a white beard.

I'm very glad to see you're back with modeling.

The Thor model looks very nice, but I think he would do better if he had one wide cape (like the Arthas model has) instead of the Paladin's cape. Or does the original Thor have that kind of cape too?

Very nice texture, though I agree with a few observers that he needs more armour. Just a helmet and he looks like he's getting ready to go bike-riding, not battle armies with the power of thunder. =P

Onviously you guys haven't seen much pictures of thor. He is supposed to have cloth and helmet, not armor. He isn't some knight you know ;)
