This site really needs more moderators!

This site needs more moderators.
Really! This site is a mess lately. Without Darky this site isn't going to last, and that would be a shame, because this is a very good site.

What do you think we are doing? Stay and do nothing? We are considering a lot of possibilities by now, we know that a model section moderator is needed, along with the icon section. But without Darky the newmods won't have full powers. They will only be able to control their section into the forums and yes, that is still something we are considering. It is up to VGSatomi and oz02 to decide. We already have some interesting options... don't we guys? :lol: This topic was already started a couple of times, and the answer is the same: when moderators will be needed, they will appear. I think the super moderators of this site are here to decide that.

i second that. the mods are debating right now over new mods. they realize we are in a state of emergency. we trust em to do whats right. thats why they're mods.

Well being serious, The site may or may not need more moderators, that doesn't matter without someone able to make more moderators. Without him there is no reason for these discussions.

deaddog, no offense but why dont you leave defending the mods up to the mods? im sure they dont care but it gets kinda annoying when one person is defending for another that doesnt need help.

Some sections needs more mods, agreed, but it won't help that much when we don't have an admin.

Darky's checking this site 10 times a year or something, and that's not enough for such a big site. If he can't spend time on the site, he should have sold it, or atleast maked VG and oz able to edit the site's code, and make people mods.

The other day I received the announcement *they* are coming this 2005 year.

perhaps Darky will come back within them, after the whole news boom caused by their return Darky will reconsider the idea of wasting his whole life with wow, so he will perhaps think that since there are other worlds in the universe, playing wow is worthless.

one new mod doesnt solve everything. nobody's really moderating the art section right now since elfy hasnt shown up in a while, and Veggie has the skins all to himself since sansui left. not to mention that the icons are looking like a pile of dirty diapers.

I'm not sucking up, and recommending other people to be moderator is better then being full of yourself and begging to be a moderator yourself.

And yes that's why I started this topic, because this place just needed more moderators. And DeadDogNoGoWoof seems a good choice.

Well, maybe you do, maybe you don't. But that's not the way to show that you are worthy enough, by begging! You need to be responsible, helpful, talented, active and prove that you don't look for the position, but for the good sake of the site. I was active in the spells section for 6 months, helped people around, reported spells that were against the rules (if I saw them before Vexorian came online ), even reported spammers (later of course)... And I never asked for the position!

So you see, 6 months effort, and it may have problably been longer if the site didn't really need me. I'm just saying that you need to prove that you are interested in doing your job, carrying the responsabilities this position gives, and only then the power and the fact that you are a respectful member. And even though you may say that you don't really care for the position more than for the responsabilities, I tell you that you do! You asked for it, asked to become a mod! It means that you are not interested in the work, or if you are, it is because you want this position, and because you wouldn't really do it if you knew you wouldn't become a mod!

And this sounds to you too Olof, and to all the other persons who want to become mods! We all do, one way or another... But it depends if that affects our attitude or not!

Modelling is my modding speciality and i would become one in the model section. I want the rank but i want the site too.
I have models on DC that prove that i am talented,i am helping a lot of ppl(i dont know if you are doing that) ect etc.

I'm really sorry that this happens to you, but that's still not a reason to become a moderator. However, there is something we can do. Whenever you feel that someone is treating you unfair (well, not always but when it's exaggerated), announce a moderator (you can PM me with such problems, I love challenges). Let the killing begin!

And you are truly talented, I've seen some of your art samples. I always appreciated artists, because I never was one. I don't have talent to draw stuff.

Nantuko: The spells section isn't half as chaotic as the Jass (or AI) section. No section mod to cleanup cr@p, no one to clean the forum (try to count the "Make me a hero-name-change-thingie plzzzz" threads). The jass section is totally lost, not a wonder people goes to the jass vault, jassing here ain't funny.

And as for the JASS section... it is boring. I tried for a while to post there as well, but it is just dull. I don't think it needs a moderator for now. Not many need JASS help. Most of the people use JASS for spells => spells section is the salvation.
