(hi, i figured we'd need new rules so.. give suggestions, guys. the old rulebook was a joke, lol)

Rule 1: This is not WoW-related RP so, comply with that.

Rule 2: Do Not Spam

Rule 3: Don't be Darkiron (aka old god of godmodding, lol)
Yeah, no God-modding and overpowering chars

Rule 4: what happens in RP, everyone gets affected with, play along

Rule 5: The designs, abilities, and magics of your characters must make sense (No weird 3-hybrid things, especially with dragons)

Rule 6: No starting with great power, build up your power through RP

Rule 7: Grow tired! any action, including casting spells, exhausts the char

Rule 8: do NOT abuse the color tags in your posts. NOR Underline :/

(more rules? Oo)

The designs, abilities, and magics of your characters must make sense. One can't have an elf, harpy, dragon hybrid and get away with it. Dragons are very prideful creatures, are are far less likely to mate with elves, humans, harpies, or any other being that isn't as "noble" as they. And humans with gills, or other unnatural mutations: no go.

Magic: Starting off with immense power, of any form, is frowned upon. All the powerful characters, Hellion, Devilak, and the Archon, have established themselves throughout an entire RP, and into this one. And the casting of spells isn't always perfect. Casters grow tired, and sometimes, the magic has negative effects. (Kalek now has shiny crow-like scales. He got lucky)

Well, if you are retiring a character, or its part of a greater plot, then you could. It's not like the RP spans the time of thirty years :p

There are plenty of mortal characters. Hellion himself is mortal. The only reason he has survived so long is that he was spiritually sealed into a dragon's bloodline for 1,000 years. He essentially recreated his body, switching places with the host. If not for that 1,000 years, he'd have been dead for a few hundred years, and the heroes who started the empires-wide rebellion would have eventually been hunted down and destroyed. The Order would likely have never survived either.

Continued

The Heroes' organization is now myth as well. They only existed for one generation. But Hellion and Devilak each were able to plan their return as they slowly emerged within the bloodline of their hosts. What was to be a prison to kill Hellion and Devilak once the bloodline died, resulted in a thousand year gamble of picking which egg to inhabit, and make sure their new host survived.

As for the concept of death... It's been done before. Darkiron kept ressurecting himself, albeit just to god mod more. :/ So, I had to keep putting him down. By now, he has a whole garden of daisies :p (pushing up daisies)

So while it is not impossible, it can be difficult to support. Undead or ressurected characters are not viewed the same by society as their mortal selves were. It is "unnatural". :p
