---Summary---

This epic tale is about a young elvish/man named Ediathis. He is called up on by King Valuran of the land to become a general in his imperial army. A mysterious character named Lady Ara escorts him to Enas Torah, the Capital of the Land. At the Capital, A council discuss there plans for an oncoming war, with Ediathis stuck in the middle. Ediathis however is no ordinary person, the king tells him this on his leave. This is his legend. This is where it all begins.

~~~~~~~
As you watch my series unfold, you will find that Ediathis must embark on an epic quest, with 3 other companions that will have betrayls, battles, wars, fight scenes, death scenes and alot of talk scenes. This is Part 1, originally titled " The Far country " but i decided to change the name.
~~~~~~~

I based this map off of the UTM, so i didn't delete the models i didn't use. But i credited them anyway since i might use their models in the future. Not only that but there are to many people to name for those models. The Credits are in the cinematic and in the WE. I dont know them off the top of my head so...im not gonna write them here... perhaps in a post.This cinematic is about 15 minutes long. Most of it is talking, but it opens the doors to the next cinematic, which will be a war scene.

~~~~~~~~~
I hope you enjoy it !! Oh and this cinematic was inspired by C market, the respected creator of the Sect of the Holy mother. I used terraining ideas and credit ideas from his work. This cinematic was all created by me. and I would like to thank Asomath for getting this loading screen up =)
- Shortened the filename, since it wouldn't appear in the TFT map directory
-----> UPDATE 1.3 ----->
- its now single player like its supposed to.
-----> UPDATE 1.4 ----->
- Added Different Music. Which afflicts with the filesize of the map.
TURN YOUR SOUND AND MUSIC ALL THE WAY UP BEFORE YOU WATCH OR IT !! :p
AND SET YOUR PARTICLE COUNT TO HIGH BEFORE WATCHING !
ohh and lol, i forgot to remove the other player slots xD
So if your gonna watch it, Only watch it as PLAYER 1 RED ! Dont watch it as anyother team or anything please xD otherwise it wont work.
EDIT : Errg, okay i know there are 2 small problems with the map. There is the tree that kinda disappears when you go from the first seen to the next scene...but thats minor. As well as the Round table in scene 2, that it disappears for a second, and then reaappers. I hate that alot, but its because of the height limit thing I have no idea how to stop it : / But thats minor.
Why do I have a feeling of LOTR after watching the entire cinematic?
Kinda good effect and terrain you got there. My rating was 4/5 for this map. However, this map condition would probably get 3/5 from some people.
By the way, I found a few typo at the conversation. You can have a look from the screenshot.
And it was kinda funny when Ediathis run through the wall and when his sword seems to be floating at the table.. XD
But, I only manage to get screenshot of the sword.
Oh well, sometimes there is a inevictable stuff such as the animation.. :=/
Oh wow that was amazing! Once again I am amazed by your terrain :D
Kinda short though, and cliffhanger-ish. But the next one's a battle so yay!
But the camera was moving through the walls during the round table scene.
And the dwarf reminds me of LOTR xD lol
ahh yes. i would go back and correct those spelling mistakes but ... that would be a hassle : /
and when ediathis runs through the wall is a mistake xD i forgot to change his colision size to be bigger : /
and when the round table conversation, passing through the pillars was a bit on purpose, but i miscalcualted the distance of the cameraso it went through it not around it ... if it were any farther, the table would disappear again : /
but thanks u r all awsome.
1....placing a loading screen will be nice.
2....when the initial screen says "the legend of Ediathis"---place . over first i & improve s.
3....the Ediathis model has 4 spell like something around it but they don't move. Wouldn't it be better if they move?
4....when Ediathis was talking with the head of Shadow Council(i think it was Shadow Council) then his sword appears to go in the table many times.
5....why did you choose an angel like model for the king?
6....there are 5-6 typing mistakes. I did not see more.
7....Terrain very nice
8....Models nice except the king.
9....when the discussion in the king's chamber was going the camera
went through the walls. it appeared weird.
10....when the 4 of them were going out of the room Ediathis moved
through the door. It was weird.
11....the story appeared nice.
My Rating: 4/5
Also will the next cinematic will be full war or some story too in it?
bounty hunter2's Review on The Legend of Ediathis - Part 1
I have watched this cinematic twice right now, since I found it very interesting.
The Legend of Ediathis - Part 1 is a cinematic that revolves around Ediathis, a warrior of some kind, who is summoned by a council for unknown reasons.
To start my review, I shall start with the story, and the story was fine. It jumps right in, without bothering with useless details. It leaves a lot of room for the second chapter to deal with. It does remind somewhat on LOTR, however that's just because of the music I presume.
The terrain was done averagely, but fine aswell if I may add. The biggest problem is that some of the models were disappearing, such as the councils table. You should fix it, or use a different model. Next, the cameras. They were done mostly fine, however there were some static parts, and that I don't like at all. You should keep them fluid at all time, if a scene is about two people talking, make the camera revolve around them over 300 seconds to give the motion feeling.
The music was used nicely, it followed the story and captured it in a good way. The worst part of the cinematic, were a lot of grammar and spelling errors:
* You should put a spacing after a coma (I was waiting, while...)
* You shouldn't put a spacing at the ending of the sentence (It is done. It is done . That's wrong.)
* A lot of spelling and grammar errors appeared aswell
To conclude, this cinematic was done decently, having a nice storyline that can develop more. The music usage was great, however it lacked a bit better terrain and more action. The grammar/spelling was bad aswell. 3/5 (Useful) and Approved! I must say that after a long time I am eagerly waiting for a sequal to the cinematic. Good job!
Nice terrain (although, what else would we expect from our beloved deathhunter?)! Awesome cinematic, although I got a little bored (I'm not very patient, so don't think it's a fault on your part :p). What will the map actually be, though? I'm guessing a strategic based campaign? Love the terrain and all your effects and... let's just say I love the cinematic XD!
This is my review to "Legend of Ediathis - Part 1", which marks the start of the Legend of Ediathis cinematic series by thedeathunterxx.
My first critique goes to the map's description and its presentation. In addition to the high number of screenshots you revealed on this cinematic's discussion thread, you also wrote that there will be betrayals... I don't understand whether that'll happen between the characters or not, but still, please control the spoiling. It'll keep people watching it wondering when will this or that occur, and, in my opinion, the cinematic is all about not knowing what's gonna happen.
The description could be a little more organized. There are way too many paragraphs with line jumps, and that takes me onto my next point. By reading the description we can tell, from the start, that the grade on grammar & spelling will not be the best. The dialog's wrong punctuation and the grammar errors are so regular that it's impossible not to stop noticing them.
On another hand, I liked the terrain, more or less. The nice use of doodads, together with the script, kept you distracted from the not-so-good ground texture work. I don't like seeing Ashenvale's lumpy grass combined with the Ashenvale grass – they do not combine and it looks bad.
Like bounty said, the story jumps right in. It is... "light", in my opinion, and will surely make up a nice cinematic to watch. Still, the presentation you wrote in your description has room for improvement (starting by the removal of the spoilers, which I approached on the first paragraph).
Just to close this part, at first I thought this was not just another Undead versus Humans story, but after seeing the skeleton, I have my doubts...
Finally, the use of the camera. It ran through doodads a lot, making them disappear. This happened frequently on the council scene, with the camera going through the archway's pillars twice (once on each pillar) and the table constantly turning invisible.
This is where I think you didn't test your own cinematic, or at least, you didn't bother to fix these issues. I'm wondering why.
I can only mention a few other errors, such as the main character going through the wall instead of the door (house scene). I also don't think you should have left the unused doodads on the map, since not everyone is capable of downloading a 7MB file in a matter of seconds. I have opened the UTM and I understand how difficult it would be to remove them, though...
This cinematic's asking for voices and a minimap picture!
My rating for this resource is 3/5 (Useful).
Sorry if I repeat anything that was said before:
1. This has a very Elder Scrolls feel to it. From the music to the landscapes. I love it.
2. In the second scene, with the King, the camera goes through the wall at both sides of the entrance as it rotates.
3. Whathisface, the main guy, walks through the wall in the third scene.
4. There are a couple spelling mistakes, like you spelled soldier wrong. And a few odd sentences that didn't seem to flow very well.
5. Characters seem to pop up without explaining who they are. I hope their stories are told in the next entries.
6. I didn't get the part where he said "Is that an angel" and then went on like everything was normal. If I saw an angel I would want to know what it was doing, and more importantly, why is he a king.
7. For the most part, terrain is good. Maybe a little detail could have been added to the end of the scene locations, instead of just ending in fog.
4/5
I can't wait to see the rest of this series.
okay
english is my first language. im very good at writing english, but i was careless : /
in the next part, i will take all your suggestions into play. and the thread with "spoilers" on it...arn't really spoilers. There isn't enough info in those screenshots to spoil...
and thnx for the review rui .
and grr the king is an angel for a good reason :D its explained in the 2nd part...... but if i say why he is an angel, it will spoil the story. ( thats the reason why he gasped at the king )
You can look in your "About Me" tab on your profile and see that it isn't part of your signature.
On-Topic: Is part 2 out yer? :D >.> <.<
Oh, you also used hear instead of here at one point in the script.
I know it's not your fault, but that table keeps disappearing and it's kind of distracting.
Also, the music seems a bit too dramatic for that scene in the house.
Still can't wait for part 2.
