... and soon the path to the tallest peaks of the mountains shall be within reach of our heroes.
Initially, the heroes spent their time casually talking to the locals of Riversdale, and eliminating a local bandit threat there. In time, however, they understood the impending doom facing, not just the local villagers, but in fact the entirety of the populated world.
For three long years, the heroes fought bravely against the horrible monsters and mischievous goblins operating the mines in the Foothills. They foiled an attempt at sabotage made by corrupt merchants of the great city Mytargas, and before that they purged the undead threat from the western part of the same city.
At the same time, two new companions entered the fray: The cunning Psion and the petrifying Hexblade. Along with the old allies, these two brave fighters have seen their fair share of battle in the Foothills and elsewhere.
Now - with the great Brood Matriarch dead; the goblins' mining operations disrupted - the heroes must turn to a most dire predicament that has been long in the making. The dwarves of Dun Haldran, while capable warriors, have even more fearsome creatures massing armies against them. The dwindling numbers of dwarves will eventually lead to the destruction of Dun Haldran, and all other dwarven settlements... and leaving Mytargas with no defenses in the south. In time, the doom of the great city will become inevitable... and the extinction of humankind with it.
Without the aid of our heroes, the dwarves will be defeated... and all will be lost.
