Well zombies can destroy doors too, and maybe your wall had holes.

Day 2

Digging the moat will proove to be dificult from the way the village is placed on the dunes , i dont think the villagers know whats going on yet.

1. Doors can only be destroyed on hardcore. And I already told ya that they were all intact.
2. They were gone by the time I finished the wall. But I made sure that at night they were safe by patrolling the village. All of them made it to safe places in time before mobs appeared.

It was actually creepy, as at first I noticed that there were a few less villagers than I remembered. Then one specific type disappeared, it was all before they were given trade powers though. So one time I decide to go on my first big journey through cave systems, that took a damn long time as usual, while I [unsuccesfully] searched for diamonds, and other stuff. So when I finally dig out of the ground, the first thing I see is rain. So that was weird, since the entire time I was playing and it was like 20 something days at that point, there was no rain. So I come out and head to my village. It's creepy, it's raining for the first time in that world and I arrive to my village and see that it's completely empty. I search house through house, it's night by then, it's raining and it's all empty, not a sign of a villager!

That's creepypasta material right here.

Well they break on hard too but your story is legitimetly creepy, infact something similar happened to me in stalker the other day. I was babysiting a few stalkers who decided to have a walk trough the swamp, I heard noises coming form the overgrown foliage all around us. I recived a signal for an artifact but decided to return when the boys were safe. We got to the point but there we were attacked by this ... when we finaly killed the beast, the commander thanked me and gave me a special suit, i continued on my way to Yantar but remembered about the artifact. I walked back but there was nobody there ! No sign of the stalkers anywere and i walked like 20 meters away from the camp. No sign or sound, the stalkers were gone... *gulp*

In your case, i guess there could have been a zombie siege...

Almost finished with the moat.

Well alot of things have changed since the last time you played, here check the version history http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history#1.5.2 , know that they will add a ton of new stuff like horses n villager sounds.

Hmm well theres plenty of sand where i'm in, the problem is that 4 sand = 1 sandstone and im only halfway done. Mining the damn thing in caves is proving to be quite dangerous with all the falling sand everywhere and the occasional mobs. Seems like i'll have to build a quarry tommorow.

I followed your advice about making a sand generator, i followed the advice of an old video perfectly and now im just stuck with a usless complecated machine dedicated to destroying the sand i put without creating more...

day 3

The wall is almost complete, i need to make a gate aswell. Anyways the villagers are seperated from the outside world. I lit up the entire place and took note of 7 survivors, all of whom were farmers. On my first trip to the village there were around then but most importantly, there were two librarians that had died while i was unaware, probably when digging the moat.

To do list:
Finish the wall
Make a gate
Make a way out of the moat, for me just in case.
Build more housing
Hire security

Minecraft diary day 10

Somehow even with moat and gate beeing fully functional, 4 of the villagers mysteriously dissapeared. I have no idea what is going on, did they escape somehow? Or maybe they never got the chance to leave, maybe the killer is one of them...
