Like the headline says.

I assume the best answer is 3ds max? If so, I think I can work my way from there since I've already used it for regular wc3 units before blizz releassed all their assets into sc2.

Btw - I did some research on the subject of WoW Model Viewer and found out that everything is horribly outdated. I was wondering if this was because a solid solution for those imports had been already been established. I did some attempts myself and found out that the latest WoW Model Viewer version does not support m3 files. The versions that do support m3 files can no longer load the files from the WoW data folder, probably because they are outdated. So I guess in that case 3ds max is also the right go to. Or am I missing something?

There is apparently some program being made by somebody that will convert Obj files to M3, which you could convert from MDX to Obj using Milkshape or I think Gmax with the NeoDex plugin.

Animations might be lost in the translation, though. Idk.
