To clarify, discussion of game ideas is allowed? The rules thread mentioned specifically game engines; are we allowed to theorycraft games here?

Yes, as long as they are not related to Warcraft III. If they are, there is Map Development forum for that.
And it would also be tagged as "Discussion".

Very cool addition, by the way, after a game has been fully developed, and there has been a discussion thread about it before the game was fully developed (or released), will the discussion thread be moved to general gaming?

Hmm, i am going to like this new edition to the fourms.

Add [Tutorial] [Presentation] tags. Already mailed Ralle about tutorial section for Unity.
Also, rename Unity3D to Unity 3D. Much cleaner imo.
