Guys, how do I make a new race without editing the current four? =/

You can't

So, what's the answer? I have to edit one of the races or copy-paste and create custom ones that have the same folder name like humans for example and just altere the units inside? Also will they show up in the game then as a playable race?

Just copy and paste units and rename them. Same goes for every additional data within the object editor, e.g. upgrades, abilities, items, ...

Ah, thanks! Btw, a random question, why are we forbidden to edit the terrain, like add the already imported blizzard models (Without touching the current doodads such as those trees, rocks and without moving the goldmine), I'd love to do it for my own satisfaction but if it's not allowed then okay.

Well, you can just use Archmange Owenalacaster's Custom Race System and simply make your units custom instead of edited.

That rule derives from previous contests. By the way, terrain is not supposed to be part of the judging criteria, that's why you are not allowed to edit it. Another reason is to prevent beautiful terrains to fog the judge's mind
Pathing edits are of course allowed, but that's not part of the terrain.

One question.

Can you do your race about a faction of the named races? Like can we create a bloodelf race? They are tied in with the humans. Or a nerubian race for undead or trolls for the orcs?

I'm going with Arisen, undead related.

Hope your undead ideas aren't same as mine...to bad contest is limited to melee races, was more fun when you were allowed to use anything.

You can't change the aspect of the undeads into total nerubians. Your races must bear the name and the characteristics of the original race. If someone checks your race, they must be able of realizing what race you are trying to depict.
