This icon is called "spirit tower" but in another place it's called a "merger"

Could be interesting with some corpses hanging on the hooks as a upgrade or having ability to collect / spawn corpses. Maybe sacrificing ghouls and once 3 are hanging it's a visual indication that the building is ready to produce an Abomination.

You've done it again, man. It would've been perfectly laudable simply to recreate the Alpha/Beta stuff; you know I'm a sucker for that. But you've done that and added some really wonderful little flourishes (pulsating tower stem) and additions (Work anim with a clattering skull & ghosts, plus that wonderful Attack anim with the reverse tower bulge; is it perchance assigned Bone_Turret so it can face the target?).

Great job man.

where is it from then and why didn't he say it outright? "Spirit Tower" comes from icon left in war3beta.mpq, there's traces of merge ability upgrade in the files there but i didn't find anything about a merger building

I had thoughts to remake this structure myself, scinse as rumor says textures left, as icon was found in beta files, but im glad to see i wasnt only one to think this way. Really nice model.

Ah dannae. We could ask him: @Abelhawk //edit: it's not letting me ping him for real...?// But I doubt he just 'made it up' if you watch some of his videos, he puts a lot of work & love into them.

I can appreciate some skepticism when it comes to Youtubers, but this guy is one of us, and he's been doing this stuff for years; I think he's provided sufficient bona fides for me to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Anyway this is a great model, just don't love blindly punching down at peeps.

I do kinda think it could use a different title than "Spirit Tower" (simply because there's already a Spirit Tower & also this has little to do with spirits), but if you don't like adding/replacing it with "Merger", what about.... "Corpse Tower" lol. "Cadaver Turret"?

all these corpses get horribly violated by being ground down into a tower of meat, their spirits can't find rest because of that and so they hang around and lash out at the living, hence the defensive structure "spirit tower", makes sense to me

Good building for the Darksiders or Forces of Corruption. At first glance it appeared as ugly, but when I gazed at it for a little longer I realized it fits for "the bad guys" faction wery well.
