Small lag with play music

Is there a way to get around the small lag when these actions run?
  • Set MusicPlayer = (Owner of (Attacking unit))
  • Custom script: if GetLocalPlayer() == udg_MusicPlayer then
  • Sound - Play CombatMusic <gen>
  • Custom script: endif

The small lag is caused by the GetLocalPlayer()
It is impossible to change that. It should be next to unnoticeable though.
Can you show the whole trigger ?
Also make sure other triggers are not trying to pause / resume music as that may slow it down also.

The lag was almost 1 second long everytime the music changed.

Try "Sound - Stop Music Immediatly" before you play a new music.
