It's easy, let me put it as short as i can. You switch to .blp in tree view. You find the skin that you need and you go on the 'convert files' toolbar. There you have 2 options, blp -> bmp, jpg, tga, whatever and bmp, jpg, tga whatever -> blp. One is for exporting blp, the other is for turning other format back to blp. Pick the first one(blp ->) and save the skin you want in an editable format. Then edit the skin and use the other option to turn it back to blp. It's not that hard at all.

You can not edit them from the viewer XD You use veiwer only to convert them into a normal file type. Check post #5 for detailed instructions on converting files. After you convert a file into a normal format, you must edit it in another program such as photoshop or paint(not recommended). When you're done editing, use the viewer's conversion tool to convert the new file back into blp.
