Wonderful job, but sadly i am not going to support Blizzard by buying their shitty new version of the game.
Rating a map/campaign 5 stars without playing it is a bit far though.

Gonna try this later today, looks interesting. Although it's a bit off-putting from the screenshots that black mask isn't turned on. Terrain looks cool tho.

I know how hard it is to make a campaign , and i appreciate the effort.

If you have CD keys from your old version, you don't need to buy the new one. Vast majority of people just play with classic graphics, so you can access basically everything with your old RoC key.
i know mate, i even play online campaigns with friends in the old version, but the campaign is showing as a 2.0 version map.

I will be honest, I only got to mission 3 before I decided "well, that's enough". I like a lot of the ideas/concepts, like Uther leveling up his abilities through combat, or finding new spells in the form of items, and the terrain is honestly accurate to Blizzard's and is pretty beautiful. However, the gameplay is genuinely agonizing. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but mission 2 for example was incredibly slow and not fun. Mission 1 took like, 5 minutes to complete, and the starting units ended up being useless/pointless.

I think you're on the right track, and you're definitely a creative person with a keen eye for mechanics and terrain. I also think you should maybe focus more on the mission design and gameplay.

You can play 2.0 without buying the game, so long as you have legitimate old warcraft 3 cd-keys.

I'm having a bit of a problem with Chaper 4. I finished the optional quest and got the Cursed Skull, travelled back to the start and killed the dreadlord then went all the way to the end to cross the river but I can't. The path just seemed blocked. Any help?

It's impossible kill the dreadlord, when you lower his health to a certain point he teleports and changes position, doing this three times and after the third time you can cross the river.

Maybe they used "whosyourdaddy" and it's broke the trigger? Might be worth adding a safety for if the dreadlord is straight up killed and not just his health being reduced past a point.

The author is not a big fan of adding "safety" in case the player uses cheats, the mistake was mine for not adding a warning in the post that using cheats can break the game.

Played it and beat the endboss which provided some challenge. Overall I feel it is okay to good. Focuses more on high power hero, master paladin Uther :) but also some "melee" maps with armee management, has modified default skills that level by using them. Also has a custom human race not the default one.
This undead heroes gave me some trouble with their power level & respawn, wrecking my armee.
I dont like the "bad" ending, all named heroes are killed off (except for garithos and uther is gone missing).
Kinda dont believe that one could beat the endboss without crafting the "hand of god".

ty, for sharing this Campaign.

Pretty alright campaign. The terrain is good, the plot is fine, the dialogue is good. I personally like the level up mechanic. QWER on abilities are good, custom abilities on Uther and Daelin are fine, QWER on buildings and item purchases are fine but I find it a bit annoying to get used to. I'm used to B-F, for farm B-T for towers, etc. I like that it's a custom human race instead of the default one, which is refreshing.

  • Chapter 1 was fine, just the starter map.
  • Chapter 2 was really slow for me, personally I found it annoying to find the levers.
  • Chapter 3 was good, I really liked the 60 food limit cap. Makes it feel believable for lack of warriors and gameplay parallels this when being outnumbered. That said, because of this I found the base and the lich very challenging to fight against. However, it was a breeze once you unlocked the artifact item. May be I just found it challenging since I explored the map late and was attempting the break the base without it.
  • Chapter 4 was fine, the map is good but I didn't know I had to search the map for Balnazzar 2 more times. I found that annoying. I like that there are purple glows on the ground on the areas you would have to clear trees. Clearing trees with your mercenaries to find hidden spots is always fun and creative.
  • Chapter 5 was my favourite. I love that you could train, heal up and send your troops over to battle through the waygate beside the portal. The artifact item felt illegal. I played normally by leashing the elite guards out, killing them, then destroying the death towers with motor teams, etc. After that I also tried the cheese strat with full damage Uther, blink in, kill one invoker, blink out and heal up with fountain, wait for W, blink back in, rinse and repeat.
  • Chapter 6 was interesting. Pretty annoying not being able to outrun/sidestep the flamestrikes or whatever because of unit block, but after a few re-loads it wasnt too hard. I enjoyed that playing all the side and optional quests all helps make this finale boss battle easier to beat. Just blink around the map a few times, wait for Divine Sheild to come back up and lifestealed back/

What I didn't like:
  • Units not having audio felt so weird, I know it was intended but didn't like it.
  • Not being able to build cannon towers suck in my opinion, only archer towers are boring.
  • I prefer Optional Quests to be labelled as Undiscovered. That way players would know if there are more quests that they would have to find.
  • Prefer to make the artifact searches an optional quest by itself, preferably along with some lines of dialogue regarding finding, crafting, and acquiring it.
  • In Chapter 4, it would be nice to have Daelin or Balnazzar say some lines that will tell the player they will have to find Balnazzar again. I really thought it was over once I beat him the first time.
  • I found it weird not to tech up through the Blacksmith but it's an interesting change. May be teching up through Blacksmith as well will make the game too easy if units are fully upgraded, not sure.
  • Didn't like that Uther just gets lost in the Twisting Nether in the end, and possibly going crazy there. As a narrative standpoint, may be he could be the main hero that will rebuild and lead this nation.

All in all, a solid campaign from my perspective. 4/5

I completely agree with the tower upgrades. I think the option to upgrade should be given to all types. Also, regarding Chapter 4, I think Balnazzar's location should be marked on the map so the player doesn't get lost. Perhaps this will be added to a potential update; it could improve gameplay for very little effort. Thanks for the detailed review; quality feedback is appreciated.
