Should I pre order Warcraft 3 Reforged?

I know preordering is bad, but I feel obligated to preorder a warcraft rts even if its going to be bad.
Also, is there going to be a hard copy version of the game (yeah im one of those people...), cause i'd like to have a CD version of the game, but I doubt it.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

You can watch totalbiscuit's video on that matter, which is very detailled.

I simply see no reason to do so in the digital age. They won't run out of copies, will they?

It's way too early, and the price (probably) won't change when it comes out so there is really no reason. You'll get to play at the same time as everyone else even if you buy it on day 1

You can play right and could play for a long time now. It's the same game. Just a visual update.

I will buy it anyway without a doubt, nice to have it done.

Last game I preordered was Overwatch and that turned out fine ;P

Unless there's a significant discount or a great amount of added perks in doing so then absolutely not. Specially for digital copies which developers can probably remove or steal from your account should they happen to ban you. I mean one can make an argument for hard copies as the special additions can be considered collectibles.

Err what? if you get banned they'll ban your keycode entirely even if it is a hard copy.
Also, it is run through the battle.net launcher so it will still be attached to your other games unless you have a separate account.
If you want the box for collecting purposes, that's fair.

Maybe it does give access to the beta. It is confirmed that they'll have that. But pre-ordering the standard edition doesn't give you any perks at this moment as far as I know.

I guess I am in no rush, since I bet almost every hive user has those two games.
I also think its possible to play with people from regular to reforge? I might be crazy but i keep hearing about it.
So I guess I don't need to buy it any time soon.

Yes, it is crossplay. Classic and Reforge will be able to play together.

No idea how that'll work with custom games with a lot of custom textures and stuff.

Sometimes companies give excluse pre-order items but not this time AFAIK.
The only reason to preorder is to have it done in advance really, or in my case, make sure I do not spend my money on something else instead of buying reforged when it comes out.

I hope its just natural, It will feel weird to have cs go level skins running around map. Then again, its not that bad.

There could be race skins, like what they did in sc2. Personally I would love to see Corrupted Night Elves, Fel Orcs and Blood Elves in mp.

I wouldn't. Competitive games should be as clean as possible.

There is no alternate universe that would make me think a tauren looks like a human or something.
Not a problem in this game, races are too distinct.

No they don't, as long as it isn't exaggarated. I basically never confuse one skin with another unit ever in any game, and even if I do it usually is a minor inconvenience at worst.

Pete Stilwell in one of the latest inteviews said that they will tweak human units so IMO they listen to the community.
