Server Trouble

Hello everyone! This morning, people reported to me that Hive was down. I immediately contacted the support team of the server. They didn't know what was wrong but a restart helped. A few hours later, this happened again and they booted it again.
We do not know yet what is causing this but hope it will be solved soon.

Whatever changes were made to the server appear to have made a positive impact. The site seems (to me) to be loading as fast as it ever has since the move.

I read an article some time ago about the same thing happening to a site. They opened the server and it was full of dust, which caused the server to shut down

Is it the server hardware itself, or just the Apache daemon shutting down? (can you login with SSH while the site is down?)

I once had a combination of that (more the dust clogging the fan/overheating components) and a faulty power supply which caused random shutdowns, maybe you're getting the same thing.

The server was frozen. I contacted them and asked if they could try replacing the RAM. They immediately did and now it runs

Well then that could be it I hope it is anyway Good to see Shados back and posting too But in terms of dust clogging... well it's doing it right now on my PC. The dust is causing my PC to overheat and freeze when it gets up high enough... even when not doing cpu intensive tasks, like i'll leave it running overnight and the next morning it will be frozen. Need to getm around to cleaning it out All the best for the Hive!

Ah yes, in fact you did! And yes at the very same time, the Hive Workshop loaded for me perfectly 100% with no problems at all, so very odd indeed...
