Just watching TV and I heard an American pronounce Potato as Ber-tato

now like WTF

which is why I ask, how do you pronounce Potato and are there any other WTF pronunciations you have heard

I pronounce Potato as, per-tatoe... but I pronounce church as tearch which is my personal weird pronounce
