Sailor Moon Castle Defence v2.9

Map Type/genre: Defence/Survival
Map Category: Anime/Manga
Sailor Moon Castle Defence is an LOTR Castle Defence edited map made by Dinodin.
I've never seen any warcraft map based on the anime/manga Sailor Moon so I decided to make my own. The map is originally named LOTR Castle Defence made by Sov_Marksman. I've just edited it to be Sailor Moon based. You're able to choose all the inner and outer Sailor Scouts, except Sailor Chibi Moon.
Some of the Sailor Scouts have imported models and some of them doesn't and then I just took the standard warcraft 3 models that fitted them the most. The Sailor Scouts are NOT teamcolored, they are colored with the color they have in the anime, so don't get confused if your scout is not the same color as the rest of your units/heroes/buildings.
I made the spells/abilities of the Sailor Scouts to be as similar to how they are in the anime/manga as possible.

"The map is good and well executed along with the actual Sailor Moon theme going on, the only down side are the creeps, there's too much of them most of the creeps doesn't attack and just stares back at you through system problems going on by Blizzard, I suggest just 12 or 15 enemy units as wave will be alright."

"Not much with the terrain going on, instead the castle-like base on the center is the only field that gives shape for the map, other than that is nothing, I recommend you give more theme going on throughout the whole map."

Yes I asked him for over one year ago and he said it was ok because it's an old version I'm editing. I haven't got time to editing until now but I guess he still thinks it's ok..

Hey, your game is cool. It's kind of odd how all heroes are melee. Also, The air is almost impossible to defeat. I think you should patch that. It's pretty cool though. Overall, I would rate it 3/5*

I made them all melee because they are melee fighters in the anime/manga and yes I know it looks abit wierd with archer models as melee but I couldn't find any better fitting models for those and I don't know how to create models.

How does it related to Sailor Moon? Not exactly what I expected, absolutely.
Then maybe you can try do it better?? No one has made a map based of Sailor Moon yet so I decided to try to make one myself.. I know there is no Sailor Moon skins/models in the map but I know nothing about creating models and I can't find any Sailor Moon models to wc3, I've searched everywhere so I had to stick with basic wc3 models and choose the ones that fits the characters the most, some people actually enjoys it alot when I play it on battle.net and some doesn't most of them hates that I made all heroes melee and even choosed alot of archer models to them but wc3 doesn't have that much woman models and I didn't wanted to use same models for more than just one hero so I had to stick with archer models to some of them.. Actually I don't think it's annoying with melee archers as heroes :-/ I made them all melee because they are melee fighters in the anime/manga but they all got alot of their abilites/spells from the anime/manga and alot of them are triggered so I made alot of work to import triggered spells/abilities to the map and balance them and make them as similar to the anime/manga I could and I'm kinda happy with the result..

I was shocked at the filesize of your map, so I took a look at your imports. I managed to compress two of your big .blp files and all your sound effects. Should save your map about 1MB. I've attached the files.

It looks like the music in your map is already strenuously compressed. I wonder, do you have the source music (not in compressed form)?

Oh thank you!! :) Yeah I know a lot of files are way to big in my map but I don't know how to decrease size on models and textures :-/ Anyway thank you for reducing the size of some sound files and .blp files but are they still working the same way as before??

I've compressed the files for you. Technically speaking, the quality has been reduced, but they will still function the same. Don't be concerned about the quality drop. It should be unnoticeable. All your files should be compressed. For example, if your music wasn't compressed, each song would be about 100 times larger than what it is now.

Hmm well I couldn't use the HeroArchmage.blp because the texture didn't appear on the model at all :-/ and the Doom soundfile didn't got changed in size at all it's still the same as before.. maybe you forgot to change that file? Anyway thank you for reducing the size of the rest of the files, the map is now about 15 mb smaller :)

I was really surprised to find a Sailor Moon themed map exist on WC3 but I'm glad it does. I really enjoy the map, but I've found that the looping music gets really grating over time, even though I like the songs. I've heard this complaint from others as well. I think it would be better to have less songs (maybe just 1, or 2) and have them play less, like during the boss levels, and use the extra space to make the songs you do use sound better.

Also, I'm not sure if you have any experience with cinematics, but it might be fun to replace the ending cinematic (which I assume is the same as the original castle defense) with something more Sailor Moon themed, like having the remaining Sailors line up on one of the walls in a pose.

I'm glad you like this map :) Well I actually knows nothing about cinematics in WE so I can't make a cinematic like that but it would really be nice if it could be done ofc... I also knows nothing about creating models but I've sent a request to ask if someone will try make wc3 models of all the sailor scouts and tuxedo kamen/mask but no one seems to do it right now :( Hmm I can't see anything wrong with the music or it's quality I can't understand why so many complaining about it...
