Run editor with opengl?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to run wc3 on an ancient laptop... I can run the game slowly with opengl, but I can't get the editor to run.

Is there a way?

Is there a way to install direct 8 so that it will work? I've tried like 4 times.

What OS? Windows OS sometimes allow the -opengl command in .exe paths.

Use Shortcuts ended with "-Opengl"

Xp or 7.

If I add that I sill get a direct x error and it doesn't run

I am guessing 2000 or NT by how he is concerned about DirectX 8. Check for updated drivers for whatever graphic accelerator solution it has, chances are that unless you updated them they will be out of date.
