Rotating units inside WE?

ofc not..units don't have this option

10x for ctrl advice

you probably didn't understand something though I don't know what

and you can also rotate pretty much everything by selecting the object and pressing / or * (I only tried the num-block symbols)

Now I get what's the problem...

I am placing Building units, not normal units. I guess buildings can't change facing angle?

I already wrote that in my first post

building facing angle can be changed in the gameplay constants afaik

go to "Advanced - Gameplay Constants - Building Facing Angle"
you can give some buildings a "root" ability so you can have 2 different global facing angles
