I'm sure some people here remember the roleplaying maps from Warcraft 3, including MRP and DoBRP back in the day. We're currently working on resurrecting that kind of map.
TheBlackMage is collaborating with several people (including myself) at http://cortexrp.com/ to create a roleplaying map library that anyone can plug into their terrain and make it into a fully fledged roleplaying map. We're also working on our own roleplaying map to demonstrate the capabilities of it.
We are currently scoping out a general release of Cortex Roleplaying very shortly, which will feature the basics. If you're interested in seeing what we're offering, there are topics here: http://cortexrp.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=8
We're really looking to be the first to define roleplaying in Starcraft 2. It's our goal to have a very community-driven map. We hope to have a very open dialogue with the roleplaying community. If you feel you have ideas, or concerns, please address them! That's why I am here to ask any of those who are remotely interesting in roleplaying to PLEASE register at our forums http://cortexrp.com
