hmm, twosided doubles rendering buffer, which is like dobling polies. Better, import(as static) the model's mesh to max using kmk's importer, select the faces, flip them; then export the model as [ur_modelname]_chunk.mdx, transform the chunk into .mdl and update the new triangle data of your model's geoset. That should do.
