Reviewed Maps Search

I see this feature is available, but Is it working properly? I see people review maps all the time, but its not listed as an actual review...
Last Review was feb 2014? (That can't be right... https://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps.php?of=updateline&order=DESC&r=20&status=rev/)
Can someone explain this a bit more to me? Does it require only a handful of authorized reviewers? (Which I thought we had (ie: orcnet, eubz, etc)

Well, reviewed is sort of a half-assed thing these days. A moderator can change a resource into being reviewed as opposed to approved. But it may go away..

so your getting rid of reviewed search?
I like the feature, I always look for the best rated map when looking for new maps to play.

We are replacing it with something similar. In the next system I am making there will be two types of ratings. Ratings by reviewers and ratings by users. A reviewer is any user with reviewer status, moderators and users that work closely with the moderators. You will then be able to sort by review rating.

Rating of the reviewers was implemented long ago as I can see a 4 pages of maps with reviewers' ratings. But after this, no more.

exactly, how does one become a map reviewer by the way?

Just review maps and join the map reviewers group. You have to ask kobas because it is him who is maintaining the group.

Also, in reviewing maps you need to make a decent one (BB Codes are optional, but recommended).

Reasons :
Map lacks a decent terrain
Spells are buggy

Also, sadly the map has no good points

Sadly, the map has minor flaw : it has high amount of file size.
Still, it's a great map and the flaw doesn't bother much.

Great job on making this map and I'll give it 5/5 + Approval

In short, to be a reviewer, you must be able to review a map throughout, not just by seconds of play.

Reviewed maps sorts by number of reviews (i.e. posts marked as reviews). That's why Callex's "Solar Conquest" has been the top reviewed map for years now. My intent for it was to include maps reviewed by a minimum number of people, like 3 or so. I believe I went over this subject recently.

I see, that's why that map stuck there, I thought my browser was broken for months or it cache old one
That was back when I was a noob.

I guess it could be re-implemented, I would rather suggest make it similar to the good ol approval section, but that's personal.
