I didn't know about this^^ But damn Red Bull must make way too much money when they travel that far to prove that "Red Bull give you wings" hehe

broke the speed of sound,
and survived.

Yeah, nothing special at all >.>

I wouldn't count those things as "special", all planning and calculations pointed that it would work.

What is special about this jump is the study of how the human body handles the conditions at that height.

He probably had a few extra emergency parachutes that were remote or altitude controlled, I doubt he'd attempt it if there was even a 1% chance of him dying.
 
Well what do you count as special then if not this? o.O

Sure, it was all calculated and stuff but no one could know what would happen if he breaks the sound barrier and so on. Saying it's not special because it was determined before he jumped is just senseless, I mean, it would make no sense if he would just jump without any proper preparation.
