Ugh, the first part of the tutorial is...literally more obvious than a glass of water, while the last part is way too specific, I don't think he will understand that.
Step 1: open your map
Step 2: Press F4 for trigger editor (that huge orange a on top bar)
Step 3: find things related with quests (use the search bar if needed)
Step 4: Figure it out yourself. Specially since you didn't give a concrete example.
If you're pretty new to the editor, then I'd suggest playing around with stuff first and learn the basics, don't jump into a project right off the bat, that just slows your progress.
An example of update, completion and reward would be like this:
  • A Quest
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Dies
    • Conditions
      • (Unit-type of (Triggering unit)) Equal to Quest Unit
    • Actions
      • Set Killed = (Killed + 1)
      • Quest - Display to (All players) the Quest Update message: Some Update
      • Quest - Change the description of MyQuest to Updated description
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • Killed Equal to 25
        • Then - Actions
          • Trigger - Turn off (This trigger)
          • Quest - Display to (All players) the Quest Completed message: Complete Message
          • Quest - Mark MyQuest as Completed
          • Quest - Change the description of MyQuest to Updated description
          • Player - Add 1000 to (Owner of (Triggering unit)) Current gold
        • Else - Actions
