I'm making a map (I deleted my old map which almost was finish), with about 10 custom models, and a lot of custom spells and abillities. I have been making 3D/CG for about 3 years, but mostly high poly scenes. So i have some experience in how to make a model, texture it, rig it and animate it. Anyway here is some questions I really need a answer on:

1. How many frames should the animationes be in? I would problely choice something like a 100-150 frames for a walk animation. But the frame rate in war3 is 960 per second, so im a bit confused.

2. How many frames should all the animations be? (Including all of them, like attack, stand and so on)

3. In the death animation, should i use the textures from war3? and how could i do that? Should the model just fall and sink below the cordinate 0?

4. Should i name the camera i use for the portrait something?

5. Is there anything wrong with using the DeX script? apart that i have to copy/paste the code in to a notepad?

Well that was a lot :S But i really hope that u can help me... I have tried to search in the forum, but i found nothing.

Thx...

Thinking off the top of my head here, I'm pretty sure animations can be whatever frames you want them, but you'll need to properly define them in the model's list of things

As for the Dex Script, presuming you're using the Gmax version, it tends to rotate the model 90 degrees to the left... Or right, not sure which, and plays havok with animations I believe

Thx for the reply, I took the next step and animated my model, got a stand animation, before i make more i could like to test if it works in game. When I uses the dex script i cant mark all of the code when exporting, so i need to copy small parts into the notepad. I takes long time and sometimes if fuckes up so i have to start over again.

Can this be done in a easier way? I'm not even sure if it is possible to do it, i fuckes up everytime.
