question about copyright

hi,
long time no see

my big project sleeps, so i try to learn the ropes again with a new "little" one.

but i am afraid of emulating existing board games (like risk, monopoly, catan, ...) cause problems - at least being not allowed to share my work with you?
(like this map is missing cause of copyright?)

There's plenty of risk maps for warcraft 3 and I have never seen a map being rejected for emulating a game.

Go ahead with developing your map.
