Scales on a lizard head are bigger and have a more plated look, Ike, so that's why it looks weird

Pyritie, why not look at a real dragon for reference? ;P

well, define a "real" dragon xD

real dragons died ages ago or are in hiding. The most you'll ever see of a dragon is the spine used for a T-Rex. :p so its kinda hard to look at a real dragon. I will still love this pic. It is genius!

This is my art thread, not a discussion on whether dragons exist(ed) or not. Go to Medivh's Tower for that.

The background if the most random thing in this whole picture. Pyritie, did you ever thought about it, when you were still playing with the main char - dragon? It looks like not 'cause I can easily sense that you're main purpose was the dragon, everything else - "Gonna scrap it up in 2 minutes".
OK, lets overlook the target - dragon. Everything looks REALLY detailed'n'stuff, yet it's obvious, even to simple walk-by person, that the hand shadow on the left wing is clearly out of place. I must mention that cloth drops horribly at leg section.
But even with such a high level of detail you got there, the picture still lacks depth. It seems that you were trying to add it, but ultimately sufficed to makin' ye olde FAST-A-LOT maneuver.

I see no problem with it anymore. It was well wxcecuted. Also, the propertions are correct. The cloth looks wierd because the wind blows stuff around. And the fire is being sheltered by the wing, so its not being put out. There, thats a logical explanation by varsaigen. ^ ^
