Profiles - What is that "+"?

I've always wondered... What does the "+" near names of people who were one of then latest 10 visitors of a specific user profile indicates? I've screenshotted what I mean...

People with the + are on your friend list (I asked the same question before, and I think that's the answer I got).

Yes, that's what it means - a person in your friends list. Confirmed.

But when you go to the profile, it says he didn't make any friends yet...
