Problems with changing model paths

Hey all,

In my map I want to be able to apply multiple skins on one model. To do this I exported the model, converted it to a text file, changed its path, and converted it back again.

And it worked. I got two exactly the same models, with different paths. But the problem is, with the model I edited, all attachment points are gone. All that's left is its chest attachment, even though all I did was change the path.

Anyone knows why this happens?

You could have changed the pathname in magos. And when you say you "converted it to a text file" do you mean .mdl or .txt format? because there might have been some "conversion" errors.

Yeah, .mdl format. How to change pathnames in Magos?

Even easier:
export the .mdx with whatever program suits u best (e.g. WC3Viewer)
download "mdxpather" from wc3c.net (dunno if its in the tools section here, too
open the exported .mdx with it
change the path to your custom skin and save
rename your .mdx and reimport into the worleditor together with the texture

I tried that once with the Spell Breaker model, but it didn't work. I don't get why, because it's one of the easiest tools I've ever used. :p

The usual green/purple cube problem (restarting the map didn't help).
