Problem with Relearning spells via trigger

I'm making a Pokemon map, and when you evolve i've tried to make the spells stay the level you had them, unfortunately it hasn't worked... and i have no idea why. Any ideas?

Do you mean like Unit A got Critical Strike Level 3 and Lifesteal level 2 and when it evolves to Unit B, it has the same ability level for both Critical Strike and Lifesteal ?

Yer that was what i wanted... but it when i did it Unit B had the spells, but at wrong levels, and sometimes they lost an ability or two because the points had obviously been used...

Loop from 1 to ability level, not from 0 to level.

Also, add a skill point for the hero before you increase the level. The action is under hero category.

What are you using for evolving the hero?

I've made an ability based on Channel for evolving, and if the user is of a certain type and level, then it evolves. The trigger is Unit -Replace
