Looks pretty good afro...if only warcraft supported normal maps.
Oh come on, you guys have done models, dont go blaming it on Blizzard unwraps now!
I can show you my unwrap tutorial if you complain.
I'd rather just submit it as a skin rather than a model and live with it
Could we get a close-up on the face, WH? I really like the expression^^
My wc3 viewer is being freaky but heres the unwrap of my latest work. If someone knows of a good way to do human skin color please tell me because ive been having a hard time making it.
@ The Two Last WH submitions,
The head is a bit miss-placed I feel. Maybe the high sweater is what makes it that way. Else tan that pretty good. Very much in Blizzard Style.
The shoulders look very wide, but I guess it has to be that way - or it will bug up. The head seems a bit weird. Anyways - good work.
Well - the arm could look like you just stole it from another blizzard-skin. And the armor, if it is supposed to be meatl - it needs more lightning and darkening, shading, and texture. The pants are feir enough. I don't like the edges though.
I've done a tiny bit of progress. So I am posting my Demon again. Hopefully I get alot of helpful comments.
Here you go;
skin for Unsung Legends...
Still working on it, and i lightened the back so dont scream at me
@Goliath: Facial skin looks great, but the spikes on his faces seems lil bit weird. You can add some details on his shoulder pad too.
@falcoknight: so far it looks great, his body anatomy is very well done. But I think, his face is too streched up down.
Here is my cyborg beastmaster.
I can use any tips. Do you think I should duplicate the armor? I was planning on making half of his body cyborg and leave regular half, but it might look better with all cyborg. I'm going to change axe later.
@Ki: Metal armor needs more work, you can see afro's tut for more references. Also his hair look strange for me.
@Nasrudin: is it skin for your custom model? what model is it? So far, it looks good.
here are some skins im working on for the War of the Three Hammers project im on.
first of the wildhammer king, model from scratch by Xatoga, skin by me. still need to do quite a few things on him.
next the wildhammer cleaver. scratch model and skin by me. still need to do a lot more work on the skin.
lastly just a pretty generic armored dwarf, might use him as a bronzebeard. model based after stuff_kickers footman. model edits and skin by me.
This evening's work
You do like Black Stan's models, don´t you?^^
The skin is awesome, great details on the breastplate. I think he should be darker though, his evilness nearly gets lost with the almost pink armor.=)
seems a bit monochromatic, throw in some green to help contrast with the purple.
Thanks, it is for this model, but I'm afrait it's the best I can do. I'm having a lot of problems with the boots and shading in general.
Try to use soft-rounded brush to smoothen your shading. Also use midtone and highlight mode aswell.
