grey archon, keep your quotes away from the forum. some people never asked or wondered what lol is. they simply believed it was a word to symbolize laught, and that's fine. you're not better than him beceause you know what lol is.
 
he never said he was :roll: not everyone is out to put a knife at your throat you know? :wink: Just imagine happy smileys at the end of each text you find somewhat offensive, you'll see - its not all that evil and destructious :)

Edit: Although in the next example you shall read (the one below this one, that is), the smiley is not exactly "happy" - I morelike imagine the most wicked of grins, and a somewhat applausing-himself GreayArchon (oooh, I would just loove to kill your fun at times, too happy, you are just too happy for yourself)

It can be used both as Lots of Laugh and Laughing out Loud. Moreoften the latter is meant, though.

In dutch, lol is another word for 'fun', as well. A funny coincidence.

LOL AFK stfu (is said alot to me :cry: ) LMFAOSOFROTL (No idea what that means) g2g and stuff like that.. I guess it all just requires back-round info...
