Phoenix Trial #5 Submission

The time is coming for a new Phoenix Trial.
Most of the current contests come to an end sometime soon, and then the Hive is free for the next Phoenix Contest offering the possibility for icon creators to show their art.
I´d like to pick up the Hero Ability Icon Replacements Theme discussed some time before.

This is how the contest chart may look:

Contest Theme: Hero Ability Icon Replacements
Your aim is the creation of at least 4 icons featuring a replacement for Blizzard's icons for hero abilities.
You are not limited to one hero you choose, there's just one condition:
Each icon should be a possible replacement for an ability icon from a Warcraft III RoC/TFT hero.
Come up with original ideas and create your own icons.



Examples:

Starfall	Blizzard	Resurrection	Water Elemental

Contest Rules And Conditions

• All icons must adhere to the established icon rules.
• Active and disabled versions of all icons are required.
• No plain screenshots (or shallowly modified) icons are permitted.
• The icons must be made specifically for the contest. No previous works are allowed.
• Blizzard icon naming conventions must be followed: BTNAttack*.blp etc.
  Example: DISBTNHoldPositionBlackDoom.blp
• Works in progress (WIPs) of the icons are encouraged as they keep the contest active.
• The icons must be physically attached to a post when complete. (.blp files only!)
• An in-game screenshot must be included with all submissions.
• Judges may not participate in the contest.
• No irrelevant, non-constructive or off-topic posts will be tolerated in this thread.
• Each icon must also have a provided 256x256 image of the icons base image and be checked for authenticity, if you work with other sizes, you have to provide at least 2 work-in-progress (wip) pictures.
  

Contest Prizes And Winnings

First Place: 45 reputation points and a special award icon Second Place: 30 reputation points Third Place: 15 reputation points

Contest Judging And Voting

• 2 Judges and one public poll decide the winner.
  
  
• Judging Criteria:
  

  Creativity	The icons' originality and uniqueness are vitally important.	30%
  Blizzard feeling & Theme	Icons should be executed in such a manner that they can be implemented in a Warcraft map, compliment other Blizzard icons and replace the existing ones.	30%
  Technical Note	The quality of the icons is the most important thing (throwing a lot of elements in a 64x64 image will usually look crowded).	40%

• 75 % of the winner shall be determined by the contest's appointed judge(s).
• 25 % of the winner shall be determined by the results of a public poll.

What the hell is with all the contests all of the sudden? Can't we just take a rest? There already are several big contests going on, so if you want people to participate, make sure no other big contests are being held or you'll have nobody who has time to make them. There's already a texturing contest going on with a lot of people participating, so I suggest you'll wait until the poll results are posted when that contest is finished before you start this one.

I will post a message here when the time has come.
Currently, i am quite busy and happy if i am able to keep the Icon Section running.

Though I did get a few ideas as I read the Contest info I'd rather see something like Hero connected, create 4 Icons relating to the theme of a hero. Or something relating to a faction, such as if you choose Burning Legion you could make Call of Hakkar, Charge of Azzinoth, Kil'Jaedens Will etc. etc.

But both of these are more in the full hero creation style.

The Phoenix Trial starts friday/saturday and will last for a month.
In this time, you have to create 4 (or more, let's see) icons.
EDIT:
The exact theme will be decided until then.
It's going to be something with the Warcraft III heroes. I will think of an alternative theme next to "Hero Ability Replacements".

I think I'll give this one a try. Never made an icon before. The most I've done is some custom sigs. Should be fun.
