What theme would you favour for the next Icon Contest (named Phoenix Trial)?

Without reference to the theme, your aim will be the creation of at least 3 icons matching the contest's theme.

Hybrid Effects
Create 3-4 icons representing somekind of interacting effects.
Example for effects: Poision, fire, hail,...
Idea from Just_Spectating.

Profession Trainings
Create 3-4 icons representing an upgrade sequence for a profession training in warcraft.
Do not replace an already existing profession training.
An example for an existing training would be the Witchdoctor training or Priest training.

Demonic
Create 3-4 icons matching a demonic theme
Idea from DonDustin.

Gnomish or Dwarfen Technology
Create 3-4 gnomish or dwarfen technology icons.
Idea from Sabertooth.

Hero Ability Icon Replacements
Create 3-4 icons replacing all or nearly all abilities from your favourite warcraft hero.
The new icons should still match the abilities.

Meh, none of these seems attractive to me, but I'll vote for Profession Trainings. Oh and... Hybrid Effects, is that something like "Burning Water", "Thorny Rock" or "Chaotic Holy Cross"? Oh, and why Hero Ability Icon Replacements, current one sucks?

Oh, and why Hero Ability Icon Replacements, current one sucks?

No, that was never my insinuation, I just felt it would be nice to see how some of you artsy dudes would see and represent abilities from blizzard. And it seems it's not that bad of an idea .

Hmm, with that in mind, I kinda like re-drawing existing Hero Abilities (although at first glance, it's like "WTHeck? not much usability in making the same thing..."). However, I voted for Profession training; how awexome it would be to get some schweet caster-upgrade icons from this again, a-la AnemicRoyalty and the Troll upgrades.

We got so much contests running currently..
