phoenix missile curiosity

Hi i was testing the teleport in a unit that has a Phoenix missile attachment on the weapon and unlike other missiles it shows really fast the direction of the teleport like leaving a trail.

My question: Is posible to make last longer that ``tail´´ effect of the phoenix missile.

if you didnt understand just in the editor make a unit with the model of the phoenix missile and make really fast circles with it in a clear terrain so you can see it.

I think you need to edit the model itself, though you could try making a dummy unit and slowing that unit's animation down. I haven't tried that yet though.

Particle emitters can not be slowed by SetUnitTimeScale.

The only way to make the trail longer is by editing the sfx model directly. But thats just a few clicks in magos model editor.

AFAIK, the trail in the phoenix missle is a Ribbon Emitter.
Thus changing its lifespan should suffice.

how do i change the lifespan? Is there any tutorial or site that explains it?

Extract the model from the MPQs and just mess around with it in magos model editor. Not much else to do really.
